CHAPTER 41 Kennedy wasn’t great at estimating numbers, but Scott said there were at least a thousand or more people by the time the prayer vigil started. Christian leaders from around the Seattle area took turns at the microphone, and in between their prayers a hipster-looking guitar player in skinny jeans led the crowd in a few songs Kennedy hardly knew. Scott was one of the ones scheduled to speak, and he gave what Kennedy figured must be some sort of dress rehearsal for his upcoming TIM talk on missions and persecution.
