The turning

🌕 Episode 6 – The full moon stood proud and glowing, and the howls of wolves echoed in the distance. Celeste had no howl. No claws. No shift. Just silence. She didn’t want to answer questions or feel the weight of curious stares, so she slipped away from the party into the woods, her corset tied tight beneath her long dress. She leaned on a tree, hiding in shadows, hearing the cracking bones and wild cries of her peers as they turned, celebrating their new forms. Her stomach churned. Her vision blurred. A low growl echoed in her head—her wolf. Then darkness. — Kael caught her before she hit the ground. He didn’t understand why he’d been watching her from the edge of the forest. Maybe instinct. Maybe something else. Either way, the moment she dropped, he was already moving. He carried her to his secret manor, nestled deep in the woods where no one dared go unless invited. It wasn’t part of the pack’s main territory—it was his personal sanctuary. She was burning up. He dropped her on his bed and basically ran to check if Bonnie was anywhere. “Where the hell is Bonnie?” he muttered, searching around but finding no one. Then he went back to her He sat beside her unconscious form, dipped a towel into cold water, and pressed it to her neck. Still, her skin radiated unbearable heat. His brows furrowed. Why didn't she turned yet? Why the corset—on a night like this? He untied it carefully, fingers working through the tight loops. The fabric finally gave way, and her small breasts jiggled free, marked red from the tight lacing. He froze. Swallowed hard. A half-smile pulled at his lips—he hadn’t expected that. With a deep breath, he leaned in, lips brushing the faint red lines the corset had left on her chest. He wasn’t thinking, just… reacting. Drawn to her soft skin, to the way her body responded—how every kiss seemed to cool her fever. He kissed along her collarbone, her neck, her shoulder, again and again. Each one gentler than the last. Each one pulling her temperature down. Her breathing evened out. She stirred. Kael blinked, snapped out of it. He quickly grabbed a blanket and covered her up just as her eyes fluttered open. “W–Where am I?” she asked, sitting up fast, her hair a mess. “My manor,” Kael said, his voice cool. She looked down, realized her corset was gone and only the blanket covered her body. Her eyes narrowed. “You p*****t!” she snapped. He raised a brow. “You fainted.” “So you stripped me?” she spat, wrapping the blanket tighter. “You were burning up. I had no choice,” he said flatly, crossing his arms. “Besides, I’ve seen what’s under a corset before. You’re not that special.” Her mouth dropped. “Wow. Thanks.” He rolled his eyes. “Are you done being dramatic? Or should I step out so you can throw a tantrum?” She glared at him, cheeks flushed pink—part anger, part embarrassment. He turned toward the door. “Get dressed. Meet me outside.” “Wait,” she said suddenly. “I fainted because... I haven’t been eating. And I’ve had a lot on my mind.” Kael paused, then looked over his shoulder. “I didn’t ask what’s on your mind. I just told you to meet me out front. There’s a party.” Then he left, closing the door behind him with a quiet but firm click.
