I had completely forgotten about Dante’s presence beside me. I turned to him with a pretentious smile and assured him,
“It’s nothing to worry about.” He didn’t look convinced so I went further to say,
“It’s the trauma I suffered in the vampire kingdom. I haven’t gotten over it.” His worried expression dissolved into compassion as he gave me a hug. I had to lie. I was an omega after all. No one wanted to have anything to do with us.
I knew Dante wouldn’t be an exception. He didn’t need to know who I was.
His baritone vibrated through my ears as I leaned on his chest,
“I’ll help you forget everything about it. Every single thing. You’re mine now. I’m responsible for every of your emotions and I’ll do anything to make you happy. Anything.”
He tilted my head and leaned a kiss
