The Unspoken Truth
*Raina sits by Tamrin’s bedside, visibly shaken after everything that’s happened. Her eyes are red from crying, and her hands are clenched tightly in her lap.* **Raina:** (voice trembling) You really scared me... *Tamrin, lying on the bed, slowly opens his eyes and gives her a small, teasing smile.* **Tamrin:** (softly) Were you scared for me? **Raina:** (tears welling up) I really thought you died... *Tamrin's smile fades slightly as he reaches out, taking her hand in his. He looks at her seriously.* **Tamrin:** (gentle) I wanted to see how you really felt. So... do you love me? *Raina pulls her hand away, blushing and quickly shaking her head.* **Raina:** (defensive) No, I don't! *Tamrin chuckles softly, his eyes never leaving hers. He leans in closer, his face inches from hers.
