Robbin told Zoey “we can’t run with this child and not get caught”. Zoey asked him what would be done to the child. Robbins hid Zoey and the child “wait here am coming” he said to Zoey. Robbin ran into a bush a few minutes later, he returned with a flower. He rubbed the flower over his palms, squeezed the liquid from the flower and rubbed it over the baby’s eye. The baby slept off instantly. Robbin emptied the little basket Zoey had with her and he placed the child in the basket and covered him with herbs. They walked until they approached some men who were at the river bank trading. One of the men asked them who they were and where they were headed. Robbin said “we are Kurtans, we came to get herbs for my sick father”. “Are you sure you are Kurtans”? Asked a man suspiciously. Robbins smiled at him and said “why should I lie? This is my sister Zoey”. A man said to others, “Killing these children are Alaskans, they speak like them” He raised his sword to kill Zoey. Robbins bade him to hold on. He opened his basket and the man saw herbs. “You have seen my dad's herbs. Why kill your fellow Kurtan? I thought we were different from the Alaskans. My sister Cloe awaits our arrival” Robbin said to the men. “Cloe”? The men asked, chorusing as they turned one to another. “Hurry get into the boat” a man said to Robbin and Zoey.
When they arrived in Kurta, they walked into the city and did not know where to go, what to eat and where to sleep. The sun had set, the children went to an inn and saw soldiers laughing hilariously, drinking wine and beer. The soldiers of Kurta were celebrating their victory over Alaska. The children hid the basket in a room in the inn. Zoey and Robbin went to look for money to pay for the room and food to eat. “Look there”, Robbins said to Zoey as he tapped her on her shoulder, pointing at a group of men gambling. Zoey asked him what his intentions were. “To gamble, of course”, Robbin replied. Zoey chuckled and told him never to try it, “. Besides, we have no money to gamble with” she said. Robbin told her not to worry that he had a plan. They walked to the gamblers, “I want to gamble” Robbin said to them. The men laughed aloud in unison. A bearded, huge man turned to Robbin and said, staring closely into his eyes “Small boy who taught you to gamble. Will you get out of this place”? Robbin said he had nothing to gamble on but he would place Zoey as a bet, “she could be your helper or even a s*x toy”, he said to the men. The men clamored and told him to gamble. Zoey was surprised at Robbin but felt very sad and disappointed. Robbin gambled six times and won all rounds. He left with gold and coins. The children were able to get what to eat and some local supplements for the child. They got to the inn and could not find the basket and the baby. They searched all over but could not find him. A lady walked into the room and found them searching for something. “Are you looking for something”? She asked the children. The children were startled as they looked at each other in confusion. “hmmm….ye..s no… I mean no” Robbin said to the lady, stammering. The lady asked for her parents. They told her it was a long story, “If there is a problem let me know” the lady said to them. The children nodded in agreement, the lady shut the door behind her while the children continued their search for the child.
The children left the room to search for the child. They saw a man asking the same lady who walked into their room, if she had seen two children, a boy and a girl. The children immediately hid in a corner. The lady asked why the man wanted the children. He said they stole money and gold from him and his friends. “But those children, do not look like thieves” the lady said in her thought. She turned to the man and said “no, I have not seen him”. The man demanded to search the inn. The lady accepted but immediately the man left to search the inn. The children ran to her and pleaded for her help. She ran away with them to her house. On reaching her house, they saw the basket. “That is my brother you have there. We have been searching for him”, Zoey said. The lady told them that it was careless of them to leave a child in the inn all to themselves. Robbins told her they were looking for Cloe and the mother of the child demanded they take the child to her. The lady asked the children “who placed the medallion on the child’s neck”?. Robbin told her the mother of the child had been and the mother was the queen of Alaska. The lady broke down in tears. She sobbed for some time and told the children not to worry, they were in safe hands. The children took a bath, ate bread and green vegetable soup. The baby was well looked after.
