I waited patiently as mom thought over my suggestion about staying at his house under supervision. Why did I open my big mouth and suggested I stay at his place, again? I wasn’t thinking that’s why. If mom agreed, that meant I would have to meet his parents. What were they even going to think about me? They don’t know me and neither does their son. I’m a complete stranger. I was silently begging that mom doesn’t agree.
“I don’t think that is the best option, honey. I really thought about it, and it would be too much of a disruption. So if Kellan is willing to keep you company here, then it’s fine for him to sleep over again. I trust you enough to know you wouldn’t do anything stupid.” She spoke, giving her okay that he could spend the night here and I relaxed.
