“I get it. I’m the same way when staying somewhere I don’t know. If you are okay with it, and it will help you, will I stay the night? I can sleep on the couch and that way you wouldn’t be alone. Besides, I can’t leave you here all alone on good consciousness.” I told her truthfully. But if she wasn’t comfortable with me sleeping here, I was going to convince her to come back to my place. I knew it wasn’t the best option but it was the only other options I had at that moment to work with. “No, I don’t want to inconvenient you? Besides, what will your parents say if you stay here? I’m sure I will be fine with the doors locked.” She protested, worried that my parents would have a problem with me staying out. “They won’t mind. I live on my own anyway. So it’s no problem,” I informed her.
