KELLANS POV
The next morning I woke up after a restless night. I didn't get very much sleep. It didn't feel right to sleep without my mate next to me. I needed to be able to smell her scent and know she was safe next to me. I needed to feel her body pressed against me and hear the steady beat of her heart.
I gave up on the idea of sleep and decided to get up. What's the point of lying in bed when you're wide awake anyway? Groaning, I rolled out of bed and went to my bathroom, which is connected to my room. I got into the shower and turned it on. I opted for cold water rather than warm. My body was so hot that the water did nothing for me. It felt as if I was in heat. I knew it wasn't possible because I didn't have the right equipment.
