I didn't know how to reply to Alice's statement. I was tongue-tied and, for the love of God, I couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't sound weird or ‘stalker-ich’. Everything my mind had conjured up sounded weird and a bit on the off side, seeing as I was thinking about it like a human. Never in my life had I ever experienced a time when I didn’t know what to say until today. But luckily, Crystal came to the save as she spoke, and I wasn’t in Alice's line of fire anymore.
“Hey mom, is the food almost ready?” She questioned, diverting her mom's attention, making me breathe easier.
