"I'm s-sorry. I-I thought you were already asleep," Hailey nervously explained when Ashvan caught her staring at his face. She was about to move her face away from him but was suddenly stopped by his hand and held her nape.
"What is your purpose in coming to my chamber?" Ashvan asked her, staring intently at her face.
She felt her lips and throat suddenly dry from nervousness, so she unconsciously licked her lips with her tongue before swallowing saliva and speaking.
"I just came here to apologize for what I said about you when you killed those three rogues who attacked me. I know you only did it for me and the Westwood Pack." Finally, she stated her intention. She could now leave the room because she felt suffocated inside despite it being so spacious.
"I forgive you," Ashvan replied
