I was seething. Reading the message on my phone, it was the last thing I had expected or needed right now.
The message was from Haley, who was once my best friend.
'Hey love! It's been a while, but I wondered if you would like to meet for a coffee and a catch up today? Our usual place at 1pm? Miss you loads xx.'
The words felt so false as I read them inside my head. How could Haley have the conscience to act so friendly toward me after what her and Derek had done behind my back?
I wanted to meet with her, as angry as it would make it. As much as I never wanted to see Haley's deceitful face again, I wanted to confront her and see how far she would go in acting like a friend to me.
