Wrong order

“What was that?” Rick asked. Ian shrugged. “This is a hospital. Patients scream some times.” They heard the scream again and then silence. Rick received a call. “Detective Ray speaking. I think we have a hostage situation and someone has just being killed.” “s**t? Any ID?” “Not sure but a body of a young man dressed in blue hooded denim top is found outside and the victim is a girl in red silk shirt and red beanie.” “They just left here.” “I called for backups. They are in a ward downstairs. I don’t know precisely the ward.” “Where are you?” “By the staircase. I just spoke to a security man.” Rick turned at Liam. “You are coming with us. It seems your friend is being held hostage and the guy is dead.” “What!” Liam exclaimed. “Come on. We don’t have much time. Is there anything we should know? You are getting yourself in more trouble.” “I have the disc.” Liam announced. Ian grimaced. “Why have you being keeping this from us? Do you know what you are doing?” “I want to know what it has and I did not trust you because you are a private detective.” “But I talked to you.” Rick said. “We just met.” Liam defended. “Where is it?” Liam asked. “In my house.” “s**t!” Ian hissed. “We will get it. Let’s go.” Rick got out his gun out. They walked quickly towards the staircase. Some nurses ran past them in a state of agitation. Gray was standing by the staircase with a man dresses in security outfit. “We need to check the CCTV footages. Do we have an idea where they are?” “Not yet. Come with me.” He led them to a room with three security men behind some screens hanging on the wall. “s**t!” Ian exclaimed as he saw Boris, Mark, Daniel and three men he did not recognize. They were in  a theater where a woman was delivering of a child. Sandra was being held by one of the men. “They are here for the disc.” Rick said. “That is Daniel.” “They are all werewolves and you see the tall guy with a red tag on his suit? That is Mark and he is a very deadly man. We have a situation.” Boris held a was dialing a number. The woman giving birth was crying and the doctors and nurses were shocked. Her husband stood in awe. “We must act fast.” They heard sirens and knew the backups were around. “They are here.” Gray said. “Yeah but this a hostage situation. The woman is in a critical condition and the girl is not safe.” Rick said. “So are the medical personnel.” “Gray, ask your men to cover the perimeter.” “Sure they got the order.” Gray said and his phone rang. “Detective Gray.” He said. “This is Agent Mike. We got the perimeter covered. Do we have an identity and a motive?” “Yes.” Gray said. “I will send a clip from the CCTV clip ASAP. We have six of them inside and they look very dangerous. We have not seen any weapon but we may be dealing with werewolves.” “Excuse me Detective? I don’t believe in werewolves and maybe they are just men in costumes.” “I will send their footage and they look just like us so there is no costume. I am speaking based on what Detective Ian said. I have never seen one myself but we need to be ready.” “Copy that. We will be ready for the worst criminals but definitely not werewolves…” Ian’s phone rang. He looked at the number, frowned, connected the lines and said, “hello.” “Hello my good old friend.” Someone said and Ian looked at the CCTV screen. “Boris.” Boris turned and looked at the camera. “I guess you and your friends may be watching us and maybe they don’t know that you are one of us.” Rick was making gesticulating for In to put it on loud speaker but Ian feigned not to understand. “What do you want, Boris?” “I thought we should have at least a warm salutation. How is your brother? I have not seen him since the day he met his wife. I mean on Saint Valentine’s day and on the day Capone allegedly killed the men in the garage…” “What do you want? You killed an innocent boy and you have people hostage.” “Ohh, still the humanitarian Ian whose brother married a vampire.” He chuckled. “and you side with the humans to hunt us.” “We are all humans and having a gift is not dehumanizing plus whoever commits a crime should be punished. Firstly, I need you to let the doctors continue the delivery process.” “You know what we want old pal. We need the disc and right now. We know you have the boy there.” “Then let the delivery go on.’ “You talk like you are giving me an order.” “Please.” Boris laughed. “That sounds better.” Boris looked at Mark. “Let the doctors do whatever they were doing and if we do not get the disc in five minutes, you will off her stomach and insert this girl…”he pointed at Sandra, “and bring out the baby.” Ian looked at Rick. ‘They need the disc in five minutes or they kill the woman, child and the girl.” “Five minutes? That is not possible.” “It is.” Liam said. “I got it here.” The law men looked at him with stone cold eyes. “I hope this would be the last time you toy with us kid.” Ian said. “Where is it?” Rick asked. “In my jacket.” He said and removed it. “I can see you guys.” Boris said. “I got one of the top security men who has a Central CCTV monitor and I am watching you.  I need you to hold the hard disc just like that and Mark would come and pick it. Do not even think of any manipulation. I do not want to see it go off my view for a second.” “Then I will come and get the girl and see you guys leave. You leave and we give. We got guns here.” Boris laughed. “Old dirty traitor. I guess you have told tem all of our weaknesses but let me tell you something Ian…we are stepping up and leaving you behind. Don’t ask me how, looser.” “I hate long speeches.” Ian said and turned at Rick. “You need to take positions. Move there and make sure your gun is set. The head is the first choice of target. Be careful, they are extra fat but with two of you, I guess this young man is safe.” “Are you going there alone?” Rick said. Ian smiled. “They know me. ” He said and walked out. Ian was on the corridor and as he went down the stairs, Mark appeared and both men paused to stare at each other. It seemed a lot of dark memories erupted. “Ian.” Mark said and produced an evil grin. “Ian.” They were walking towards each other with hard, mean faces. They stood a few inches from apart, glaring at each other. “I wish the moment could be now.” Mark said. “Same here, Mark.” “I am glad we are on this. I swear, I will kill you for what you did to me.” “Be my guest Mark. Your reputation of one of the most dangerous thug is bullshit to me. I really want to feel how your bones crack and how awful you look in death.” “Mark! We got no time!” Boris shouted into the mouthpiece and Mark heard it through the small receiver stuck into his ear. Mark smiled and walked on while Ian moved on too. Mark got into the ward and saw Liam standing, holding the gun. “Boris, this is the boy that killed two of our men.” He said into the device. “We will get him after we get the disc. Remember they got guns on you.” Boris said. “I can handle them.” Mark said and glanced at Rick and Gray who had their guns pointed at him. “Mark! Just get the disc and leave. We will get him, even Ian is marked, I promise.” Mark looked at Rick and then Gray. “Lord knows I hate you guys.” He said and glared at Liam who held the hard disc, feeling intimidated by Mark. “Hello boy.” He gave Liam a dangerous smile. “You killed two of my men. I just want you to remember that.” The sentence sent shivers into Liam’s liver. He was marked by werewolves. Jeez! They were going to kill him. “You can’t have the disc until they leave the room without the girl and anyone in there.” Rick said. “Shut up! I don’t take orders from you. Left to me, it would have been settled now but the old man will always slow things. I pray I am the alpha someday and things will work promptly. That is when you guys will realize that your place is the pit.” Meanwhile, Ian went into the theater, holding a gun and pointing at them. “Ian.” Boris said. “Pointing a silver bullet at us...” “If you say one more word, I will let hell lose! Just leave and you get the disc.” Boris smiled. He knew Ian was keeping his real identity a secret just like most of them. But they had gone past that now. He was no more hiding and Mark had never hidden his except when he was on a mission. That was one of the reasons they had to do this. They could not keep hiding, seen as strange beings that did not fit in. “We are out.” Boris said with a nod. ‘Get the hard disc.” “Wait!” Daniel said. “I need to be sure it’s the hard disc. I must come over there. Where is my laptop?” One of the men gave handed a laptop bag to him. He moved out with an incredible speed and joined Mark. He glared at Liam. He collected the disc, fixed it and put it on. He smiled and felt a huge relief. “It is intact. We need to leave.” He said. “Boris, we got it.” Mark said. “Very good. The old man will be happy.” He said and nodded. His men followed him out of the theater. As they left, the woman in labor screamed as she pushed out a child. Sandra was still in a state of shock. She could not believe she was still alive. Ian waited until the werewolves were out before he followed them. Rick and Gray followed Mark and Daniel with their guns pointed at them. Daniel and Mark walked out and joined Boris and the other men outside the hospital. They saw policemen all around, pointing guns at them. “We have the disc.” Mark said. “Now what?” “We go back to Wolvercania.” Boris said. “We just got the disc and that is the first part of the mission.’ “Meaning what?” Mark twitched his lips. “I hate to see us leave with Ian and  Liam still breathing.” “We must secure the disc first.” Boris said. “And then deal with that later.”      “This is Agent Ray. Suspects are outside, do we close on them?” Ray said as he stood by a police car as he said to Gray. “They are all outside now.” Gray said to Rick. “We can pick them.” “That is not advisable.” Ian said. “Why? They are all outside and they have no hostage.” “That means they have an ace up their sleeves.” “I am sorry Mr. Private Detective. I am a state police officer and I see no reason they should leave after killing an innocent boy and held people hostage. What do you say, Rick?” Rick was confused. As a cop, that was the best thing to do but he did not know what they planned. “You are right but this a hospital. We may try to avoid casualties. We don’t know what they are not revealing.” .“Pick them up.” Ray said into the mouthpiece. He looked at Ian and Rick. “I am sorry, guys but we got no time to argue over this and they are leaving. I won’t know what excuse I have if they are let go!” “Yes, Detective.” Ian said. “It’s your territory and we have no right to interfere.” “This is the CPD, you are surrounded by armed policemen. Put your hands in the air!” Ray said into the loudspeaker. “Put your hands in the air and stop freeze.” The six men ignored them and kept walking towards their car. “Stop! Stop! I repeat, put your hands in the air!” Ray repeated. “Now they ignite the fire.” Mark said with an evil grin. “Boris, you see that it’s not my fault. They crossed the line.” “Stop or else we will forced to use lethal force!” Ray said aloud. “f**k you!” Mark said and charged towards the police cars. Pow! Pow!! Shots were aimed at him but what happened was amazing. It seemed he was dodging bullets and his speed was as fast sound. Getting to the car, his hands produced claws and scratched Rays neck at once, held him and turned him using him a s a shield. Three bullets fired at him ended up killing Ray. What was this? Gray watched as he came out of the hospital through the door. Daniel growled and also charged at the police men so Boris and the other men joined. Mark grabbed two policemen and held them both by the neck, raised them up and whirled them before flinging them away. Two bullets were fired at him and he simply removed the bullets with his fingers as he healed immediately. Now Gray was astonished and befuddled. He was calling for more backups. “I told you this was the wrong time for this.” Ian said. “This is a hospital.” “We can handle this.” Gray said with a face saving gesture. A helicopter appeared with armed policemen. The werewolves were killing policemen. The man in the chopper was firing shots and he got one of the werewolves down as the bullets were sporadically piercing through him and he was not healing fast. Mark looked up and saw the helicopter. He growled, broke into a run with an incredible speed, allowed himself into the air with leg first and went towards the direction of a tall building while he mentally calculated the angle. He used his legs to hit the wall, bending his knees and then pushed himself into the air again, this time towards the helicopter before he pulled the man with the gun and hit the fan blades. The helicopter lost balance and began to fall down the top of a building while the pilot tried to control it. It crashed and the blades scattered, while the body smashed and the pot died. Mark held on to the man he pulled as they went down. “Oh my God!” Gray exclaimed. “I can’t believe my eyes.” Mark and the both dropped on the floor with a crashing sound. The man died instantly while Mark moaned in pain but he healed at once. Boris said. “Let’s go.” “I told you they let the wolves out.” Mark said. “Liam and  Ian are still alive. That is a shame.” He turned his vicious eyes towards the hospital building. ********
