~ Anticipation ~ The day of the Mating Ceremony arrived, bringing with it a whirlwind of emotions that stirred the very core of my being. As I stood in front of the mirror, lost in contemplation, my thoughts drifted into the depths of uncertainty. The jumpsuit, elegant and tailored, adorned my form like a second skin. Its deep royal blue hue reflected the vast night sky, hinting at the mysteries that awaited me under the crescent moon. A soft knock echoed through my room, pulling me back to reality. I turned toward the door, my heart fluttering with anticipation and anxiety. "Come in," I called, my voice surprisingly steady despite the turmoil within. The door creaked open, revealing my father standing there, his eyes filled with a mixture of pride and tenderness. He wore a traditional robe, the fabric woven with intricate patterns that shimmered in the soft light filtering through the window. His presence brought a sense of grounding, a reminder of the strength that ran in our lineage. "Plumpberry, you look absolutely beautiful," he said, his voice carrying the weight of paternal love. He stepped forward, his hands gently resting on my shoulders as he studied my reflection in the mirror. "You’ve grown into a remarkable young woman, one who embodies the essence of our family’s legacy." His words touched my heart, easing the nervous tension that had settled within me. I looked into his eyes, finding reassurance and unconditional support. "Thank you, Dad," I whispered, my voice barely audible. His approval meant the world to me, a validation of my place in our magical lineage. He smiled, a smile that held a myriad of emotions. His presence was comforting, a steady anchor amidst the sea of emotions that churned within me. His eyes, warm and understanding, met mine, and for a moment, the weight of the occasion lifted. “You okay plumberry. You look lost in thought.” I offered a faint smile, attempting to mask my inner turmoil. "I suppose I am. It's just... the idea of finding a mate tonight feels overwhelming." "Remember, Ri, today is not just about finding a mate; it's about embracing your own power and identity. You are not defined by the one you choose, but by the strength and grace you carry within yourself. Trust your heart, and the right path will reveal itself." He smiled, his eyes reflecting pride and love. "You are strong and capable, my dear. Tonight, as you step into the ceremony, hold your head high and let your spirit shine.” His words helped soothe my anxiety. "I'll keep that in mind, Dad." “Your mother would be so proud of you.” “I wish she was here. To see me now,” my voice catching with emotion.” He had placed a hand on my shoulder, his eyes filled with warmth. “Me too, Feriae. I am so prou of you. You’re becoming a remarkable young woman.” “Oh My Magic!” “You look stunning.” The moment was interrupted with Summer and Violet gasping in surprise in unison. “I’ll leave you to it, plumberry,” he placed a gentle kiss on my forehead before exiting my room. Violet and Summer greeted dad. I turned to face them. I hadn’t heard them enter. “How long have you been there?” “A bit, but that’s not important. If I was into girls, I surely won’t stop ogling you all day.” “No joke, every guy’s eyes would be on you.” I blushed, “Thanks, guys. You guys look spectacular,” Violet and Summer proceeded to twirl, playing bashfulness as they giggled. Violet’s was adorned with a tiara of roses, crystals, and no surprise violets, matching her vibrant personality. And Summer, with her flowing dress that seemed to capture the essence of a summer’s day, was the embodiment of grace and beauty. I was going to ask where Lief was, wondering where he was, when my thoughts and the girls’ giggles were interrupted by Lief, answering my previous thought. “I’ll hate to interrupt, but we’ve got to get going. Our ride will be here soon.” We looked at ourselves in the mirror, giving ourselves a final once-over. With a final touch of makeup and a few adjustments to our outfits, we exited my room, before descending the stairs. Lief stood at the foot of the stairs, looking dashing. Hearing our approaching steps, he glanced up. “You look gorgeous, Ri,” said Lief. “You don’t look too bad yourself,” I replied. Lief, in his tailored suit, exuded a quiet charm that drew people to him. A soft chime resonated through the room, signaling the arrival of our transportation for the evening. We made our way outside, where a magnificent carriage awaited us. It was no ordinary carriage; it was a marvel of both magic and technology, designed for this enchanted occasion. We called it the “Celestial Carriage.” The carriage was a vision of opulence, adorned with enchanting patterns that seemed to shift and shimmer. It was drawn by mystical creatures, half-horse and half-dragon, their wings folded gracefully against their backs. They exude an air of elegance and power. We settled inside, the interior as luxurious as a royal chamber, and the Celestial Carriage lifted off the ground, ascending into the sky. The world below seemed so small, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonder. The journey was a magical experience in itself, and I knew that it was just a taste of what awaited us at the Mating Ceremony, and our journey began.
