JENNIFER'S HOMETOWN

Chapter two

Jennifer's hometown

It was dawn already, I quickly had a shower, packed my hair in ponytail wore my favourite hoody and baggy jeans wore some perfume and left my room with my luggage heading to my mum's room.

“Mum ! Mum… I called out softly trying not to make a sound, I was kinda nervous because it was my first time travelling to my mother's hometown and it was kind of weird that I have never been there .now , I and my mother are travelling there and never to return to the Williams mansion again.

I can't lie I have been living a very soft life in the Williams mansion and my life has been peaceful asides my father's problems.. I don't know how life is going to be out there but with my mother with me I hope everything would be fine.

My mum called out to me as I was deeply in thoughts..

“Anna!

“Ohh mother.. I answered quickly while trying so hard to hide my anxious looks

“ Are you okay my darling..

I could see the hurt in my mum's eyes , goosebumps fulled my body within three seconds.

“Yes mother, rest assured I'm fine just feeling abit nervous ..I said calmly as I looked at her with my dreamy doe eyes .

Which I got from my father , oh! how I hated this man.

“ Okay okay ..give me a minute let me call your uncle

My mum hurriedly dailed her younger brother's number immediately his voice filled the room

“Hello big sis, how are you doing is everything okay?

How is Anna ?

Why did you call , is there any problem?

Austine said worriedly.. he so much loved his sister that he could literally give up his life for her.

Austine was a very handsome young man ,his blue eyes was so charming that any lady wished he was theirs so their kids would have his eyes .he owns a café back home and was earning quite Some good amount of money. You could tell from his appearance that his rich but not so wealthy like Alex Williams. He has never liked his sister's husband and has always begged her to return to their hometown.

“Yes Austine, we're fine just that I would be returning to our home town today with Anna …Jennifer said

What! What happened exactly?

Hope that beast didn't lay his hands on you ?

Austine angrily asked..

“No he didn't , bye now we need to leave now before Alex sparks… Jennifer said and hurriedly ended the call.

“ Mother ..I called sobbing

Are we going to be okay? I don't want anything separating me from you…

“Nobody is taking you away from me not even the devil .. my mum said while holding my hugging me tightly…

We hugged for five seconds before finally wiping eachothers tears and carrying our luggage downstairs. The workers stared at us pitiful as we left the mansion while my nanny who was also Alex's nanny when he was younger cried uncontrollably as she watched us leave.

I couldn't help but feel bitter inside , I've always loved nanny Ann but I couldn't do nothing about it .

We arrived shortly at mother's hometown, uncle Austine was already waiting for us .

He immediately rushed towards my mum and embraced her warmly.

I could see tears roll down his eyes as he tightened his grip around my mum.

The hug was so intense that my mother pulled out slowly.

“Austine!

She managed to call out softly..

“Show us to our rooms, it's been a long and stressful journey for Anna…

“ Okay Jenni.. as he usually calls my mum

He lead me to a room neatly decorated and arranged I loved the room though,it wasn't as elegant as my room in the Williams mansion..

“Uncle! I love this room ..I smiled faintly at him

“I'm glad you do Anna.. he said as he hurriedly went to meet my mum .

“Jenni ,what really happened between you and Alex ? Why did he have to send you guys out like that?... Austine worriedly asked while impatiently waiting for Jennifer's reply

“ Brother ! I am as confused as you are..Alex has being treating us bad for years now with no reason so, I wouldn't know why he just decided to kick us out of William's mansion… Jennifer managed to mutter this words while subbing..

Austine inhaled deeply.. “ Jenni i have this feeling that Alex might have another lover aside you…

“ really?Do you think so ! .. Jennifer almost shouted while covering her mouth to prevent Anna from hearing her…

“ I have never seen Alex with another woman , he's all about work work work!..

Or do you think he also have another child asides Anna!? …Jennifer asked with so much curiosity as if his brother knows everything going on with Alex

“Ha ha ha ha …Austine bursted into laughter.

Jenni you have to calm down, don't tell me you still have feelings for that monster after everything he's done..

“ I I I don't I don't have no feelings for Alex.. Jennifer stuttered

Please get me something to eat , I'm famished…she chipped in ,as she hurriedly went into the room austine had showed her earlier not wanting him to tease her any further.

Austine smiled as he headed to the kitchen to dish out for them.

The table was already set , we all sat down round the table eating quietly, sounds of our cutlery was heard..

“Mmhmm! …Austine cleared his throat

Anna I was wondering if you'd be interested in working as a part timer worker at my café so….

“ Yesss yess uncle I would be so much pleasured if you allow me to…I said excitedly while cutting him short
