Ally almost dropped her phone in her rush to get to the door. She jerked the door open and found James standing at the foot of the steps several feet across the porch. She didn’t think, she just acted. Closing the distance between them in the blink of an eye she threw herself against him and wrapped her arms around his neck as he caught her against him. Ally buried her face against his chest as she breathed in his scent and tried to hide the tears of relief that she couldn’t stop from sneaking past her defenses.
