KADE ROMANO
As I entered the room, my posture radiated authority, and I found myself in a position of dominance over Abraham Anderson, the head of the American Mafia. Our initial exchange was polite, but it was clear that I held the upper hand.
Abraham extended his hand, introducing himself formally. "Kade Romano, I presume?"
I accepted his handshake with a steady grip, my voice devoid of warmth. "Indeed, Kade Romano."
The conversation swiftly shifted to the matter at hand, and I took the lead, my tone commanding and devoid of emotion. "Mr. Anderson, it is evident that both the Romano family and the Anderson family stand to gain significantly from this union. Our interests align seamlessly, and the stability of our respective organizations relies on this alliance."
Abraham nodded, his expression respectful but tinged with apprehension. "I comprehend the importance of this partnership, Mr. Romano. We are ready to uphold our end of the agreement."
Our discussions continued, with me leading the negotiations and outlining the logistics of the impending wedding. I ensured that the balance of power remained in our favor. The expectations placed on both our families were discussed at length, and I made certain that the terms were advantageous to the Romano family.
Abraham's final words were a formal agreement, and I accepted with a slight nod, my position of dominance unmistakable.
As the formal discussions came to a close, Abraham Anderson made a final proposal. "Mr. Romano, I believe it's time for you to meet my daughter, Brianna."I nodded in agreement, my icy facade unchanged. "Of course, Mr. Anderson. I look forward to the introduction."With that, we left the formalities of the conversation behind and made our way to where Brianna awaited. The atmosphere in the room shifted as we entered, and Abraham introduced us as if we had never met before. I extended my hand, a faint hint of a smile playing at the corners of my lips. "Brianna, it's a pleasure to meet you."She accepted my handshake gracefully, her gaze meeting mine. "Likewise, Kade."
After the introductions, Hermes and I left the Anderson mansion. Once we were in the car, I reached for my phone and dialed my father's number.
When he answered, I wasted no time in sharing the outcome of our meeting."Father, it's done," I stated matter-of-factly.
"The agreement is in place, and we'll be getting married in two weeks."
There was a pause on the other end of the line before my father's deep voice responded. "Good, Kade. This alliance is crucial for our family."
I nodded, even though he couldn't see it. "I understand, Father. We'll make sure everything goes smoothly."
My father continued, "We'll be flying in for the wedding next week. Be prepared for our arrival, Kade."
In the following week, my family arrived at my mansion in America for the upcoming wedding. The Romano clan was a large one, and our presence filled the house with the vibrant energy of family reunions. My father, Vincent Romano, and my mother, Maria Romano, arrived with great expectations for the celebration. My sister, Alessia, had her husband, Marco, and their two children, Sofia and Luca. Our cousins, Francesca, Luca, and their children, added to the lively atmosphere. The house became a hub of activity, bustling with preparations for the wedding. My siblings, Alessia and Luca, took me aside and insisted that I should go and get a ring for Brianna. Their words held weight, and their enthusiasm was contagious.
Alessia, with her outspoken nature, didn't mince words. "Kade, this ring must be grand, a reflection of your status and your deep affection for Brianna.
"Luca, my more reserved cousin, concurred, "It's a symbol of your love, Kade. It should make a statement."
"Love?" I scoffed and walked out.
As the day progressed, Alessia couldn't contain her excitement. "I can't wait to meet Brianna," she exclaimed, her enthusiasm infectious. I nodded, masking my true feelings. "It'll be an interesting meeting, that's for sure."
Afterward, I decided to follow my siblings' advice and went to select a ring for Brianna. The drive to her mansion was filled with a sense of anticipation, mixed with the tension that had been building between us since our arranged engagement.
When I arrived, the atmosphere was slightly awkward. I approached her and handed her the ring in its elegant box. "Brianna, I hope you like it."Her expression softened as she examined the ring.
"It's beautiful, Kade. Thank you."
I couldn't help but notice the tension between us, and I decided to address it. "By 7 pm, be ready. I'll be coming to pick you up for a family dinner."
"Okay" She said and I left.
Brianna and I still hadn't addressed the unresolved issue of our one-night stand.
At dinner time, I dressed in my finest attire and arrived at Brianna's mansion to pick her up.
When she opened the door, I was taken aback by her beauty. She wore a stunning red dress that accentuated her curves and exuded confidence. I couldn't help but compliment her.
"Brianna, you look absolutely breathtaking," I said sincerely. She smiled in response and returned the compliment, "Kade, you look quite dashing yourself."
I gestured for her to lead the way. As she walked ahead, I couldn't help but steal a glance at her, admiring her behind.
As we entered my house, Brianna was immediately embraced by the warmth and affection of my family. Alessia, my sister, led the way in smothering her with love. "Brianna, you're even more beautiful in person!" Alessia exclaimed, her enthusiasm contagious.
Brianna blushed and replied, "Thank you, Alessia. Your family is so welcoming, I'm truly touched."
My mother, Maria, couldn't contain her excitement. When she saw Brianna, she hugged her tightly, so much so that Brianna gasped for air. I had to step in and gently tell my mother to release her, to which she did with an apologetic look.
Alessia laughed and we shared an amused glance. Alessia stepped forward, speaking on behalf of our mother. "I'm sorry, Brianna. My mom is a hugger. You'll get used to it."I nodded in agreement. "Yes, she's just thrilled to meet you. Welcome to our family, Brianna."
