I was immensely happy that my boss/good friend/good person has reached his greatest height in the world of business, Christopher and his family is always known in the business world, They are second generation multi billionaire’s, so it’s no surprise for them to been seen in all the magazines over the world that covers business. And Christopher marriage with Rachel has mostly made him ending up in controversial and gossip Column’s often. So he happens to be quite a known celebrity all over the world. Now he is going to make all the heads turn towards him for this position that has been passed out by Mr. Daniel Adams. There is no doubt that Adams industries are going to reach greater heights under Christopher leadership. And am so proud of him.

My fondness towards Christopher has lead me to hug him when he shared the great news without acknowledging whomever present in the room. I was bought to my sense for what I was doing when I heard Rachel clearing her throat, Clearly she was not happy about my actions. On the other hand Christopher gave me a goofy smile for putting myself under the nerves of his wife. How idiotic of myself.

“Awww., Aren’t you a two adorable FRIENDS”. Jane exclaimed stressing the word friends, clearly saving me from my awkward situation. Mr. Daniel just observed what was happening and just shook his head muttering something which sounded like “ kids!!”.I looked over Rachel who was on the verge to strangle me on that instant, composed herself after Jane words, probably considering the fact that there are too much eyewitness present if she has to kill me now.

I saved myself from the situation I put in by changing my attention towards Mr. Daniel by congratulating him on his retirement “Am happy for you Mr. Adams, you did great work and reached all the heights by putting 'Adam industries’ in top, personally am glad about the decision you made because you deserve this much needed break and you did the right thing by passing your responsibility to the right person.” I sincerely told him, cause even though it was his dad who started the whole industry Mr. Daniel worked very hard to make it to reach in the top 5 company around the world.

“ Thank you child, but am not retiring full still am the one who can decide about any major decisions or changes, ( he came closer to my ears so that only I can hear and whispered) it’s always good to have some hold on things that is yours.” He said to me and winked at me. I think he just gave me a free advice and I took it with a smile.

“we have to celebrate this dad, don’t you think, We have to have a party for Christopher and you”. Rachel said holding Mr. Daniel’s hand, who clearly is not liking my closeness towards Mr. Daniel’s and letting me to known my place by the look she gives. I didn’t react to her taunts just responded her with my smile.

“Oh!! we will child don’t worry, once we share the news with the press we can have our party” Mr. Daniel said for which Rachel nodded.

“About the press conference, we planned to arrange it tomorrow and I need you and Miranda to take care of the required arrangements, I know that tomorrow is a weekend and you will have to go to Ohio but can you postponed it later, because in this short span of time I can only rely on you and Miranda with this huge responsibility, you can even take Monday off” Christopher tries to convince me for postponing my trip to visit my son. “Why should we do it tomorrow, we can do it today evening itself, Almost all the employees have gotten the news by now and everyone must have started to share it with outside people so it will be better if we release the news before some other controversial rumours starts to spread, I can make calls and arrange this by evening,” I tried to reason out, mostly because I don’t want to mess up with my weekend plans, Evan won’t be happy about postponing.

“That won’t happen because there is going to be two announcement and the person responsible for the second news will be available only by tomorrow, since am going to takeover as president my current position as CEO will be given to my younger brother 'Lucifer Adams’.” Christopher told, I lwas shocked to get the news that the rebel son is back, Jane has told me about him that Christopher has a younger brother and he fled from them 9 years ago, He was quite rebellious in nature and always had disagreement with his father even from his young age, Once Christopher and Rachel wedding was on talk, he fled from the home because he was in love with Rachel and couldn’t agree on their marriage, Since it was the wedding of the millennium, cause both bride and groom are from powerful family and Rachel being a former beauty pageant winner, it was all covered by media, So his action of being fled during the wedding made the headlines which made Mr. Daniel more angrier because being noticed for wrong reasons is not ideal according to him, for Mr Daniel it’s always going to be his family name first and putting his family name under discussion for wrong reasons is not tolerable for him. So from that day onwards he didn’t allow Lucifer Adam to return home and cut off all the ties with him. This is the reason why Jane and Rachel doesn’t get along too, Jane strongly believes that Rachel played with both her son’s emotions for which I couldn’t comment because I don’t know what had happened exactly so I just listened to her words.

I overcome my shock and nodded in defeat that I can’t do anything other than to postpone my trip because it’s Christopher important moment and I should stay for him. He smiled in my agreement and Mr. Daniel left ourselves with our discussion saying that he needs to take care of things., While Jane asked Rachel to go to their mansion to supervise on arrangements that she has prepared for Lucifer coming back home, Hesitantly she also left us, before leaving she kissed Christopher cheek and gave me a smug smile which indicates me to stay away from her man, I gave her a tight smile thinking ‘sista you got the wrong chick to warn’.

Once, it was just me, Jane and Chris.I asked him how all of a sudden his dad changed his mind about his brother. “Two days back mom happened to have a mild attack(instantly his voice sounded worried),she got afraid that she may die and asked dad that she needs to see Luce, Dad agreed on instant., After that mom seems to rest well once dad agreed on , but it was surprise to all of us when dad announced about his retirement. And more shocked when he said he wanted to make Luce as CEO.” He said making my eyes pop out of socket hearing that Jane had an attack, I got worried so I rushed to her. “ Are you alright, why did you even come to office today, You should have been resting, why are you even standing, have a seat. should I get you something to drink.”

Jane just smiled sweetly “ Am perfectly alright baby girl, don’t treat me like am some fragile doll” she assured me holding my hands firmly. But still I was worried for her “ How could you say you are alright, you had an attack.” I was almost in the verge of tearing, She is one of the nicest people around and I don’t want anything bad to happen.

“ oh! I faked that, so don’t worry” Jane said as if it’s not a big deal, I looked at her with wide eyes, can’t possibly process what she told “ faked it!!you have any idea how worried me and dad got, you are always impossible mom” it was Christopher who practically shouted on his mom, even I would done the same if it was my mom.

“ Oh come on , give me a break, I tried to convince your father in every language I have know to get Luce back to home, but he always turn deaf whenever I bring Lucifer name, am a old women ,who misses her son everyday, 9 years is a lot of time for not even able to see my son, so I don’t give damn if you were worried or not, my only regret is that I didn’t think of faking an heart attack years back.” she said fiercely. Christopher has gone ghost from his mother’s outburst.

Jane composed herself and asked me to join shopping with her to help her picking out suits and shirt for her long lost son. I agreed instantly not wanting to be in her bad side now. I just waved bye to Chris and moved out of his office.
