Gloria's Truth

Gloria’s POV There had been a lot I had never told Camden. Or Randall. Things that I had promised his mother I would never tell him. I looked at my son and my mate. That was the big secret. Flashback I was raised around wolves. My mother was a chosen mate to a wolf in Graystone pack before it was absorbed by Randall’s pack. I was a full-blooded Wiccan, which was rare. Most Wiccans either married other witches or never procreated. We very rarely ever got with wolves. They didn’t trust our magic, and we didn’t trust their wolves. Finding my mate wasn’t anything I was expecting. Wiccans didn’t have mates. We have husbands or wives. Some even had multiple of both, but we didn’t have fated mates. Until I met Randall. We lived together but I didn’t want him to mark me until my Luna Ceremony. I couldn’t mark him back because I had no wolf. I wanted at least one tradition to give him. I spent hours being pampered to get ready for my Luna Ceremony. As Randall’s parents had never approved of him being mated to a Wiccan, I did it alone. Between running around and making sure everything was perfect for Randall, and getting ready, I had to leave my bedroom open. After my final check, I went back upstairs to put my dress on. There on my bed was a she-wolf that Randall had been sleeping with before we found each other. It wasn’t that there was a she-wolf naked on my bed. It was that I had been able to smell her for weeks before then. All over my mate’s clothes. When I asked for an explanation, he said it was nothing I needed to worry about. I asked what she was doing, and she said that Alpha had commanded her to the bedroom. Randall was Alpha. There was no way she could deny the command. After weeks of no explanation of why her scent was on my mate, I left. For weeks I wondered about trying to find a new home. Isabelle found me and took me in to Silver Star. Little did I know that I was a little under three weeks pregnant. Isabella had been having problems with fertility. I was in no way shape or form knowledgeable to raise an Alpha wolf, so I allowed Isabelle to keep Camden. Randall was busy being Ultima Wolf, and I kept myself hidden, moving from pack to pack, making allies to whoever would let me. When I saw the vision of Camden dying, all of the motherly instincts that I never had came rushing to the surface. I did everything I could to ensure that my son would live. Even if that meant he would lose his right to Alpha. End Flashback I looked at my son, his father and my mate. This was the moment I had dreaded since I gave birth to Camden.
