"I saw in the side mirror of the motorcycle I was riding that there was also a black motorcycle following me. I accelerated to increase speed, but they were persistent and caught up, so our vehicles were side by side. I saw them grinning at me.
Once again, he claimed the road as if he wouldn't give up on his mission. Behind his smiling face, what was he thinking? What motivation drives him with his eyes fixed on me?
Another motorcycle was speeding, seemingly chasing us. We were on a road with dense trees on the sides, where a wrong move could lead to a cliff. The road was narrow, only enough for two vehicles.
I felt nervous as the other motorcycle bumped into mine twice, causing me to flip over with my motorcycle into the cliff. My helmet came off, and I quickly grabbed onto a rock with my right hand. I also dropped my bag containing my most important belongings, luckily it got caught on a protruding branch and didn't fall completely. Darn it!
I heard another motorcycle approaching, the sound of its engine getting closer to where I was hanging on for dear life. Perhaps this was another one following me, and my hand gripping the rough rock was slipping.
A hand reached out to grab mine and help me. I stared at it and slowly looked to see who it was, a unfamiliar face of a man greeted me.
I stretched my right hand to him, to help me to get out of here and he was my only hope to have another life. I slipped on the rock I was standing on and almost fell. Darn it, thankfully he pulled me towards him. We were both gasping for breath as I escaped the jaws of death. It's good that he came and helped me to leave here, It was my near-death experience.
This darn life!
But I looked at the bag that fell where the only memory of my mom was kept.
"My teddy bear," I whispered softly.
He offered his hand to help me stand, but I declined and stood up on my own. I slowly descended the cliff to retrieve my teddy bear, but he quickly grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back.
"What are you doing! Do you want to die? You should have told me so I wouldn't have helped you," he said irritably.
"Wait! It's my teddy bear!" I said without looking at him, as I was thinking of a way to get it.
"Let it go, it's just a teddy bear, your life is more important." Because of what he said, I looked at him, and he just raised an eyebrow.
"It is very important to me, Mister," I said seriously but with tears in my eyes. He looked at me and then sighed.
He walked to his motorcycle and came back with a rope. He tied it securely to a tree and pulled it tightly to ensure it was strong, then he tied the end around his waist before slowly descending to get my teddy bear. I watched him, praying that he wouldn't fall.
Finally, he reached the bottom and retrieved my bag. He slowly climbed back up, and I stared at the rope as it slowly started to fray against the sharp rocks.
He was still a bit far from me, but I reached out my hand to get my belongings, I just wanted to make sure I could really get them. He handed them to me and continued climbing. However, he couldn't continue as the rope gave way and snapped, causing him to fall and hit the rock, losing consciousness. I felt a surge of panic and looked down at him.
Gosh! This is my fault! Is he dead?! This can't be happening!
