Chapter 16 – Empty Bed
I couldn't remember the last time I'd felt this helpless, since I started playing Isabelle's role, I was entitled to her problems, but this was Sofia. I continued asking the nurses but every answer I received only created another question.
They said he had been transferred for tests but there was no transfer order,no doctor had authorized it and no nurse could tell me which tests he was supposed to undergo. I kept asking the same questions, hoping someone would eventually give me an answer that made sense.
The hospital staff moved around me, checking records and making calls, but their confusion only made my fear worse.
My father hadn't simply walked away, he was too weak to and even if he had been taken somewhere for treatment, someone should have known about it
