After visiting with Adam and Mirabella, Tian feels the need to check-in with the rest of Kylie’s biological family who are still part of the pack Olivia left behind, the Tall Pines Pack in northern Oregon. Knowing that Kylie’s curse has been broken, he wants to check up on her aunt and see if it did in fact reverse the curse for other affected members of the family. He can teleport most of the way there but knowing that such a leap consumes a lot of power, he makes reservations at a small motel just outside of the pack territory where he can rest and recuperate before visiting.
