I was awoken to the sound of thuds coming from the hallway. I looked over to see my family still sleeping soundly, the look on their faces was only something I could call peace. Their smiles spread softly as their stomachs rose and fell as they breathed in. I settled back down into bed and decided it wasn’t worth checking out, in fact it was probably just a pack member.
I settled back into bed, the thudding had stopped, and my eyes closed as I relaxed back into my place. Suddenly came a loud thud right by our door. I jumped up, but Levi and the kids were still sleeping peacefully. How could they not have heard that? It was so loud, and right by our door.
