The warmth of the sun peeking through the curtains roused me from my sleep, but something heavy was lying on top of me. Groaning, I shifted, trying to wriggle free. The weight didn't move. "Move," I mumbled, still half-asleep. When it didn't budge, I added more force to my words. "I said, get up, or I'll hurt you when I wake up." The pressure only grew heavier, pinning me in place. Frustrated, I finally opened my eyes, ready to confront whatever or whoever was tormenting me. The sight that greeted me was enough to make my heart leap into my throat. Alpha Kael lay sprawled across the bed, his arm draped over me possessively. "What are you doing here?" I shrieked, shoving his arm. Kael stirred awake, his eyes fluttering open. The grogginess in his gaze gave way quickly to alertness
