Episode 6

1154 Words
My attention shifts back to the class, and my eyes wander somewhere else. I’m more than eager for the bell to ring so I can meet up with Melissa for her daily dose of ‘devotion’ to me. The naughty girl gets immense pleasure from going down on her knees just to suck me off. However, my eyes are pulled to her again. the crazy she-wolf who dared disrespect me. I watch intently as she eagerly notes down every word the old man spoke, like it’s some undiscovered philosophy. Her pen dashes across the pages of her notebook, and she’s done with a new page she had opened only seconds ago. I scoff now. Nerd. But I continue staring, unable to lose the subtle curiosity she’d piqued in me. My wolf is intrigued by the gleaming within her eyes. I’m almost impressed by her interest in this extremely dreary class. It’s ironical; a few moments ago it had annoyed me having her eyes watching me as I walked into class. I had gotten used to the stares, but hers made the hairs on the back of my neck stand and something possessively primal rise in me. I had been painfully aware of her eyes raking over me… then Adam and Lucas. My wolf growls at the thought of her attention shifting to another male. “What are you looking at?” Lucas’ voice suddenly pops into my head, and my eyes dart away from her quickly. “Nothing.” I can feel him smirk as he continues watching me from my side. I grow more annoyed. “Doesn’t look like nothing though.” “What’s your point?” I turn to glare at him. It sounds like a question, but it’s obvious I’m telling him to shut up and leave me alone. His smirk remains, but he gets the hint and shuts up, shrugging as he turns his attention back to class. The bell rings and I’m on my feet. Elena tries to say something to me, but I walk past her swiftly, heading to find Melissa for my next appointment to let off some steam. But Adam and Lucas are behind me as always. “Adam, did you see what I saw back there?” Lucas is at it again. His playful and flippant personality is at play as he tries to tease me. He flashes a smile weaponized to win countless hearts and break even more. If I was a player, he was the game itself. I had hoped he’d drop it, but clearly, I’m wrong. He starts a conversation with Adam just behind me, loud enough so I’d hear everything. “What?” “Silas was totally staring at that new chick that stood up to him the other day.” “s**t, no way.” Adam’s gaze turns to me, and I’m groaning in frustration. If I don’t clear the misunderstanding soon, I’d have them thinking I’m some love-struck psycho who has a thing for girls who challenge me. “Has the great Silas finally shown interest in anything other than his reflection?” Adam teases with a similar smirk to Lucas. I roll my eyes at their childishness. Our friendship dates back more than ten years, starting simply as an arrangement between my father, the current Alpha king; his Beta, Lucas’ dad; and the Zeta commander, Adam’s dad. Over the years, it had grown into something much more. I knew them inside out, and yet, I could never get used to just how annoying they could be when they wanted to. “Quit exaggerating. I wasn’t staring at her; I was just thinking, and she was in my field of vision.” “Thinking about those plump, supple lips that told you off earlier, I bet.” Adam jabs. I frown now, annoyed by the way he describes her lips. Something about it makes my wolf restless. I shake the thought from my head. The only reason I’m thinking about this too much is because they’re making it into something it’s not. “She’s the same as every other Alpha b***h in this school; why would I think about her insignificant lips?” I say the words, but my wolf disagrees. He’s being more of an ass than usual today. “Since she’s so insignificant, as you say, how about a bet?” Adam’s tone drops into one of mystery. My ears pick up the word ‘bet’ quickly, and I know what follows immediately. Bets were a guilty pleasure, one of the few things that made things fun in the walls of this boring school, that made everything a little more bearable, a break from my strict norm. And I never turn down a game. “After her little show the other day, everyone’s had their eyes on her like she’s some cool, untouchable badass, bold enough to stand against the future Alpha king.” I snarl at the rumors. I had only let her defy me. It’s clear she was ignorant, and I simply showed benevolence by letting her walk off scot-free. “But won’t it be fun if the Alpha king proves that no one is above his authority by making her bow…in bed? ” I ponder on it for seconds. It’s a few months away, more than enough time to have her feeding from the palm of my hands and worshiping the very ground I walk on. A devious grin breaks on my lips. I like the idea. “What do I get in return?” Adam laughs out loud now. “Isn’t getting back at her enough reward?” “It’s not a game unless one party gets something in return from the other one.” I smirk. “Fine, if you win. You can get us to do anything for you for a month.” “Three.” “Fine, three. But if you lose, you have to tattoo our faces on your back and walk round the school shirtless for three months.” I roll my eyes at it, almost wanting to refuse their idiocy, but there’s no way I’m losing. “I’m in.” “Oh, he’s quick to accept. I don’t think this one’s going to be as easy as your other previous flings,” Lucas adds. “Trust me, she’s no different from the rest of them. Her tough act is just for show. In three days, she’ll be begging me for more.” No one has ever been able to resist me, and she isn’t going to be the first. I can already smell victory. The thrill of the win pumps through me like drugs, and I’m all too excited to get her. Have her arrogant pink lips begging me to take her. Before we can leave, I hear something—or someone—behind us. However, when I turn, no one’s there. Must have been my imagination.
