FREYA'S POV
The whole cafeteria scene plagues my mind endlessly, ruining every mental wall I had painstakingly built around thoughts of Silas. Just when I was getting the hang of it, accepting what was to be my new life, he walks in and chucks it all into turmoil and leaves.
I know it's impossible, incomprehensible, but I wonder if there's some sincerity in him. If possible, my absence confused and left a little discomfort in his mind just as it had me. Then maybe he's actually into me.
It isn't something I should be pleased with. He's with someone already, and I still needed to steer clear, yet the possibilities pleased my heart just a bit.
The next day seems less dull and even more promising than typical. Is it because Xena would be returning or something else?
