“No no sleepy girl, you can’t fall asleep yet.” I hear Jacob say next to my ear.
“Mmhpm” I groan. “Why not? It’s your fault I’m so tired. Just a little nap?”
Edward, still resting between my legs tilts his head back, looking up at me. “You need to eat, then you can sleep little one.”
Their concern for me makes my heart swell. “Okay.” I whisper softly.
Before I have a chance to protest, we’re standing and I’m being carried down the stairs by Edward. Jesus he’s fast.
“I can walk you know.” I say while nuzzling into his neck. Breathing his scent in deeply. He smells fresh, like lemon and mint. Jacob on the other hand, smells woodsy, almost smoky.
They both make my mouth water. The urge to always touch them, smell them. Taste them.
I decide to do just that as Edward reaches the kitchen.
