Inside the medical chamber, voices screamed around me like crashing thunder. But I felt none of it.
I was floating—somewhere between Emily’s sobs and Alpha Evelyn’s growls. My soul was splitting in half.

Lucien gripped my shoulders tightly, fingers digging into my skin to stabilize the control restraints.
