CHAPTER SEVENTEEN   El Diario had announced that a group of Soviet guerrillas were banding together in the mountains up near Tasco and would march on the Mexican capital, then head for Guatemala. It was frightening news, but Rita's thoughts were mostly on Memo. Marta and she had stayed close by his side. Rita had watched the doctors cut away the black and silver trouser leg to expose the gaping hole the bull's horn had made. Chucho had come to his brother.
