Double Date Night

It’s been a couple of weeks since we took Iola and Levi over to the Blakes and Orbit had contacted Leo and I to see if we would go on a double date with him and his blind date. So, I convinced Leo and he finally said yes because I promised him that we can leave Iola with dad and Leah for the night so we could spend the rest of the night together and for most of the next day.

We are now in the car driving over to dads and Leah’s to drop Iola off and as we got there Leah and Caleb were outside gardening and as soon as I got out of the car and got Iola out of her car seat Levi turned around and he said, “Luna you look so pretty.” I then said, “aww thanks Levi.”

Leo then got out of the car, and he grabbed Iola out of my arms and gave her a big hug and kiss and said, “I will miss you baby girl.” I then took her back and smothered her in a billion kisses and gave her a big hug and said, “I love you Stardust, we will see you tomorrow.” Leah then took her gardening gloves off and she quickly washed her hands just in case and she came out with dad and as soon as he saw us, he said, “there’s my little princess.” I then laughed and said, “hi to you too dad.” He then laughed and said, “hi sweetheart you look beautiful.”

I then smiled and said, “thanks dad and here you go you were more excited to see Iola, you have her.” Dad then said, “well I thought that was why you were here in the first place.” Leo then said, “Dimples we need to go now if we are going to get to the restaurant.” I then said, “ok Speckles bye guys.” As I was about to walk to the car Levi said, “Luna wait.” So, I turned around and Levi ran up and he had a flower in his hand. Levi then passed me the flower and he took his jacket off and laid it on the ground and he grabbed the flower back and he said, “can you kneel down for a second please.” I then smiled at him, and said, “of course.” So, I kneeled, and he placed the flower into my braided hair, and he said, “you can stand up now.”

As I stood up, I saw that Leo was recording everything and I had tears running down my face. I then said, “thank you Levi how did I end up with a brother like you and Leo you better send that video to me.” Steve then said, “and we would love a copy of it too.” I then gave Levi a quick hug and hopped into the car and we drove off to the restaurant. As we pulled up at the restaurant Orbit was waiting for us outside and he said, “there you are.” I then said, “we are so sorry we will tell you what happened when we are seated.”

We all then walked in and that was when we heard, “hi are you Orbit Blake?” He then turned around and he said, “yes you must be Hayley Jackson.”

As, soon as Leo heard her name, he tensed up a bit and I placed my hand on his back and I whispered, “it’s going to be ok Speckles she has changed.” Leo then said, “if she says anything bad about you, I’m going to put her in her place, and we will be leaving.”

I then said, “ok baby.” We then walked up and joined them, and Orbit said, “Hayley these are my friends Lu.” Hayley then interrupted and she said, “no need for introductions I already know them, and Leo I just want to apologise for everything I have done.” I then gave Leo an encouraging smile and he took a breath and he said, “its ok Hayley as long as you have changed from it then it can be kept in the past.”

I then said, “shall we go to our table now?” Orbit then said, “we shall.” As we sat down Orbit said, “so, why were you both running late.” Leo then said, “instead of telling you how about we show you.” He then got the video up and he pressed play. Once the video finished playing Hayley said, “he is so darling.” Orbit then said, “he is growing up into such a kind person.” I then said, “he’s lucky to have dad and Leah as parents.” Leo then said, “he isn’t going to have any trouble getting a girlfriend.” I then said, “or a boyfriend.” Hayley then said, “before I forget how is married life?” I then smiled and I said, “it has been really good we are doing the same things we were before we were married but it’s great to call Speckles my husband and having his last name.”

Leo then smiled and he said, “I love being married to Dimples it’s been a blast.” Orbit then said, “so, Hayley what do you do?” She then said, “I just finished my hair and makeup course, and I am now doing my business course so I can run my own business.” I then smiled at her, and I said, “that would be good for you.” Orbit then said, “that’s so cool.” Leo then said, “you must be very talented to be able to do that.” Hayley then said, “thank you guys also what do you guys do?” Orbit then said, “if I remember correctly dad is going to help Leo train to try and get into the Olympics and Luna is going to be do an astrophysics university course.” I then said, “omg I am so sorry we didn’t ask you what you do when we were at your place.”

Orbit then said, “its fine you had to get Levi home for dinner, and I stopped playing football and I am now a chef.” I then said, “wow that’s awesome.” Leo then said, “we should have you cook for us one night.” I then said, “Leo!” Orbit then laughed and he said, “it’s all good Luna and I would love to.” Hayley then said, “we should cook together one day.” Orbit then said, “do you cook too?” I then smiled and I said, “she was the top of the class.” Orbit then said, “well in that case I would love to.” Hours had passed and Leo and I just got home, and I said, “hey Speckles do you want to sleep in the tree house tonight?”

Leo then said, “will it be warm enough?” I then smiled and said, “yeah mum and I used to do it at this time of year we just need to get the big woolly blanket.” So, “I quickly ran inside and grabbed the blanket and once I was back outside with it Leo laughed at me and said, “here give me the blanket while you go and get some pillows and I will put the blanket in the car so we can drive down.”

I then threw the blanket at him with a laugh and quickly ran inside and got the pillows. Five minutes later we arrived at the tree house I quickly climbed up and started pulling the blanket up. Leo then laugh and said, “we need to build a pulley system or something so it’s easier to get things up there.”

I then laugh and I said, “maybe that will be our next instalment to the tree house then.” I finally got the blanket up and sat it down and that was when Leo started to throw the pillows up. I then said, “hey watch where you are throwing them.” Leo then said, “sorry Dimples.” He then quickly locked the car door and climbed up. He then helped me set the blanket and pillows up and we then cuddled up together and he said, “so what did you and your mum use to do up here?” I then smiled and said, “we used to lay down and talk while watching the leaves fall onto the ground.” Leo then said, “so is this like a family tradition?” I then smiled and I said, “yeah it was.” Leo then said, “I am so sorry we couldn’t do this for two years.”

I then smiled at him and said, “its fine Speckles I didn’t really want to do it for those years anyway but this year I felt ready to do this with my family.” Leo then said, “we should have Iola here to then.” I then smiled and said, “she’s still a bit too young my mum started doing this with me when I was three, but she made sure to barricade the entrance with a door that she made that could be pulled off and on just in case.” Leo then said, “well we will start doing it with her when she is that age and for now it can just be the two of us.”

I then smiled and said, “maybe next week I can do this with Levi since I have told him about this and promised him, I would do this with him.” Leo then smiled at me and said, “that would be a great idea I can look after Iola in the house and that will give Leah and Steve time to their selves.” I then smiled and said, “yeah they haven’t had a date night in so long it would be good for them I will talk to Leah and dad about it tomorrow.” Leo then said, “can you use your powers please.” I then laughed and said, “of course I can Speckles.” So, I started to use my powers and we were joking and laughing around with each other which made it that much more special. I then said, “I can’t wait until we can show Iola all of this and see what her powers will be and how she will grow up to look like.”

Leo then said, “it’s scary to think about that and I hope that she has your intelligence.” I then laughed and said, “and I hope that she is as strong and caring as you are.” Leo then laughed and said, “we will just have to wait and see and hopefully our little family grows.” I then smiled and said, “I think it will and not just with us but with all of the rest of our friends and family.”

Leo then said, “that would be scary to see Caster as a dad.” I then said, “what if Levi gets a girl pregnant while being in high school.” Leo then laughed and said, “Dimples I don’t think we have to worry about that because he has a doctor for a mum and a teacher for a dad.”

I then laughed and said, “that’s true and he just has to look at us and he will see he shouldn’t do it.” Leo then said, “well I like to think that we have been doing an alright job with Iola I then smiled and said, “of course we are Speckles.”
