Training

It was the next day and Leo, Xenia, Nikolai and I were following Galaxia through an old ruin when finally, she stops and says, “Leo and Luna welcome to where everyone from the royal family learns how to use their powers.” I then said, “it’s really beautiful.” Leo then said, “I am honoured to be able to stand her and witness this special occasion.” Nikolai then said, “when I was little my mother told me that it is also tradition to bring a new baby of the royal family here when they are a week old.” I then said, “so, do I have to do that first?” Galaxia then said, “no you don’t because I used my orb in here when you were a week old to do the ritual.” Xenia then said, “I always love coming here it makes me feel closer to our ancestors.”

As Xenia said, that suddenly all the torches of starlight lit up and somebody that I recognized appeared and said, “hi my sweet Jellybean.” I then had tears in my eyes and said, “mum how is this possible?” Galaxia then said, “I’m surprised that your mother knew how to contact us from the spirit world.” She then said, “well I had help from your husband.” I then ran up to her and I wrapped my arms around her, and she hugged me back and said, “I have missed you so much Jellybean.” I then said, “I miss you more mum.” She then smiled at me and looked at Leo and said, “it’s nice to finally meet you, Leo.” Leo then said, “it’s nice to meet you too.” Mun then said, “I hope that you are keeping my girl safe.” He then said, “of course.”

Nikolai then said, “I am sorry we had to meet this way.” She then smiled at him and said, “so am I but everything happens for a reason.” Xenia then said, “you are as beautiful as Galaxia has said.” She then said, “thank you Xenia and you are as beautiful as your mother.” I then said, “I wish you were here with us.” She then smiled and said, “so do I my Jellybean and I know that when you do end up going back to your dad, he is probably going to tell you this, but I spoke to him in his dream to let him know that you are safe.” I then smiled and said, “thank you mum.” She then gave me a kiss on my head and with tears in her eyes she said, “I’m so sorry Jellybean but my time is up but I will be back to see you I promise I love you.”

I then said, “I love you too.” With that she left as fast as she appeared and Galaxia then said, “I hope you liked talking to you mum but now we have training to start.” Nikolai then said, “don’t worry if you can’t figure out how to access it yet because it usually takes a while for everyone to work out.” I then smiled at him, and Galaxia then said, “Luna, I need you to close your eyes and think about why you want to find your powers.” So, I closed my eyes and I thought about seeing my dad and Leah again and how much I miss seeing the Earth but most of all I thought about how much I love Leo and how I want to learn our history so I could be more worthy of him. As I opened my eyes, I felt this strange but powerful sensation and when I looked at everyone, everyone except Galaxia were in shock.

Leo’s point of view.

As, I was watching Luna figure out why she was doing this her hair started to change instead of it being the beautiful blue-black hair it once was it was now white which is the colour of Sirius with streaks of orange which is the colour of Aldebaran. When she opened her eyes, they were glowing golden yellow which is the colour of the sun. As soon as she realised that we were all staring at her, her eyes stopped glowing but instead of being green they were green with speckles of gold.

Luna’s point of view.

I looked at Leo and I said, “what’s wrong speckles?” Leo then passed me his star phone and he said, “you might want to open the camera up and have a look.” So, I did as he said and I couldn’t believe my eyes and I said, “look at me I look so different.” Galaxia then said, “well that’s what happens when you find your powers.” Xenia then said, “I thought that we always looked this way.” Galaxia then said, “that’s because we start training Starian when they are young, so they don’t remember what they look like.” I then said, “so, if I ever have a kid, I can’t take them back with me to meet my dad and Leah until they are older?” She then said, “actually because they will have human blood in their system, they won’t have any changes until they are eighteen.”

Leo then said, “is that why King Fabian changed at his coronation?” Galaxia then said, “yes.” Nikolai then asked, “why don’t you tell us about the change we go through when we were young?” Galaxia then said, “because you would have forgotten anyways but that is why when you have kids of your own you learn about it.” Xenia then said, “well why not when we are teenagers?” Galaxia then said, “because you already have a lot to learn.” Leo then said, “that’s understandable.” I then said, “well we are all still teenagers right now and you didn’t think to warn us.” Galaxia then said, “that’s true but I knew that you all could handle this.” Nikolai then said, “I can’t believe that you found your powers on the first try.” Xenia then said, “now we just need to figure out what your powers are right?”

Galaxia then said, “that’s correct but that is all we are going to be doing for today, but we will come back here this same time tomorrow.” It’s now has been a month since I’ve found my powers but now, we are still trying different tests and so far, we haven’t found out how to use my powers. Until I just finished the test I have been given today and my first power was activated. Galaxia then said, “I need you to open your hands.” As I did, she said, “now think about what stars feel like and what they look like.” As I did, I looked at my hand and I had stars sitting in my palms. She then said, “we have just figured out how you use your unique power that only you can do.” I then smiled and I said, “is this all of the test we have to do?”

She then said, “we like to do every test so we know exactly what powers you can do.” I then said, “how many more tests are there?” She then said, “well we still have to train you as well so it might take a long time until you can go back to Earth.” I then said, “that’s fine even though I’m home sick I know it will be safer for everyone if I stayed to control my powers.” It’s been one year later now, and I have been spending time with my new family and my future in laws. As well as going through training my powers. I’ve found out that I can change the sizes of stars and I can make shooting stars which includes the stars that we see in the night sky. I haven’t really seen Leo that much recently because he has been helping his brother with school and his dad with work.

I really miss seeing him every day and I hope that he hasn’t changed his mind about marrying me. Suddenly I snapped out of it and Galaxia said, “finally I have been standing here trying to get your attention for the last five minutes.” I then said, “I’m sorry Galaxia.” She then said, “I get it everything that is happening right now is a lot, but I promise you it is about to get a lot easier.” I then said, “how?” She then said, “because you have finally finished your training.” I then smiled and said, “does that mean what I think it means?” Galaxia then said, “maybe but I just remembered something.” I then said, “what is that?” Galaxia then said, "well Starians and humans conceive the same way, but we have a different way of telling.” I then said, “how did you find out you were pregnant?” She then said, “well us females when we are pregnant our Starmark’s change somehow.”

I then said, “so do you think that will happen to me?” She then said, “possibly but it might only change a little bit for you since you are more human than Starian.” I then said, “wait I haven’t had my period since I’ve gotten here.” She then said, “that is because of how different our two planets are.” I then said, “well I think I might need to go now.” Before she could say anything, l ran. A few minutes later I was at Leo’s house and as I was about to knock on the door it opens and Leo says, “Dimples what’s wrong?” I then said, “Leo we need to talk in private.” Leo then said, “of course we can go into my room.” Once we were in his room, I pulled the orb from my pocket and I said, “where is dad and Leah?” Nearly instantly the orb showed me that dad and Leah were both working.

Leo then said, “Luna what is going on?” I then said, “we need to go back to Earth.” Leo could see how much I needed to leave Starian and so he said, “let’s go then.” So, we both went through his portal, and we ended up in his bedroom at Earth. He then followed me next door to dad’s house, and I unlocked the door and walked into my room. He then said, “why are we here Luna?”

I then said, “I needed to get some money so I could check something.” He then said, “which is?” I then said, “I need to find out first before I can tell you because I don’t want to upset you.” He then grabbed my hands and he said, “Luna we are engaged you can tell me anything.” I then said, “well I didn’t get my period when we were in Starian because it is different and so.”

Before I could say it, Leo said, “you think you might be pregnant.” I then said, “yes.” Leo then said, “well let’s go to the shops and buy you a pregnancy test.” So, we walked out of the house, and I locked the door, and we got the keys to Nova’s car, and we started driving off. Once we got to the shop, I bought the cheapest pregnancy test and I walked back to the car. Leo then said, “where are we going now Dimples?” I then said, “to my house.” So, Leo then started driving to my house and once we got there I said, “Speckles you can wait in the treehouse for me.” He then said, “are you sure?” I then smiled and said, “yeah, I’m sure.” So, we went our separate ways. Once I took the test, I took it to the treehouse and Leo, and I waited.

A few minutes had past, and Leo finally said, “Dimples no matter what happens I will be here for you.” I then kissed him and said, “I know Speckles I love you.” Leo then said, “I know that this was an emergency, but I hope your powers don’t play up while we are here.” I then laughed and said, “I forgot to tell you my training finished today.” Leo then said, “that’s great my love I am so proud of you.” Suddenly my timer went off for me to check the pregnancy test. Leo grabbed my hand and we both checked the test together and as soon as I saw the test I broke out in with the biggest smile on my face. Leo then said, “I can’t believe it.” I then said, “Speckles you’re going to be a dad!” Leo then said, “how far along do you think you are?”

I then said, “we could be three to four weeks pregnant right?” Leo then said, “yeah I think that sounds right.” I then said, “I can’t believe that I’m going to be a mum.” Leo then said, “you are going to be the best mum ever.” I then said, “should we have our wedding soon then?” Leo then said, “we could, or we can wait until after our baby is born.” I then said, “what would people think if we got married after we have our baby?” Leo then said, “well who cares what they think our people know that we are engaged and that we would have been married by now.” I then said, “true but I would like to be married at Starian before they are born so, when we come back for our second wedding here in Earth, they can be with us.”

Leo then said, “well if that is what you want then that is what is going to happen.” I then said, “thank you Speckles, and I don’t want to tell anyone that I’m pregnant until we are in the second trimester just in case.” Leo then said, “that’s fine Dimples I understand.”
