" S-SO how do we get out now?"
Universe pouted while gaining the attention of Corey who shrugged in response.
As they continued to move further into the cave-like tunnel. Universe noticed how Corey stopped dead in his tracks upon sighting something.
Tracing his unblinking eyes to the location, she had found..a tarantula.
Squealing and trying to get the rigid boy to let go of her hand, Universe had attempted to run towards it and pick it up.
Keyword, attempt.
Corey Knight was not letting the naive girl approach that thing.
" Let go! I want to hold it! "
Universe cried, still squirming.
Finally being able to break free, she ran up to it and sat on her knees before picking it up with her delicate and soft palms.
The tarantula had continued to crawl around her hand and she beamed with joy before looking at a Corey who had gone two steps backwards.
" I-s Corey Knight scared of tarantulas?"
She teased with a mocking smile.
" For your information, that s**t could bite you "
He warned while clenching his jaw.
Universe had flashed a frown at his use of a cuss word but had gotten distracted by the tarantula trying to crawl higher up her arm.
" Their have weak v-venom though "
She beamed before getting up and using her other hand to dust her knees.
" Here, hold it "
Universe said as she approached Corey with her outstretched arm which held the tarantula.
" No "
" Please "
She pleaded with a pout.
" No "

" Please "
" I. Said. No "
He said narrowing his eyes and sizing her up.
" Pl-ouch! "
She cried out as she had gotten stung by the tarantula.
Immediately slapping it off her arm, Corey Knight had stepped on the creature, crunching it beneath his shoe before looking up to see a teary Universe.
" Told you "
He said quirking a brow and taking her arm to examine it.
The duo stared at the newly created fang mark that had been imprinted on her silky skin.
" It hurts doesn't it?"
He asked folding his arms in dominance while she nodded in agreement.
" Luckily for you, it was a Chilean rose tarantula. You'd just experience some itching, burning and pain "
He shrugged before letting go of her arm and watching as she clutched onto it.
" Just rub it, don't ruin your skin "
He advised before walking away and listening to the sound of her footsteps and her sniffling as she walked behind him.
