DIFFERENT remarks, suggestions and complaints were made as the students were led through the forest by their chaperones.
Some bored and some enthusiastic.
And Universe was one of them.
The teenager curiously walked around the forest while dodging some students to avoid being shoved.
She gripped the straps of her pink backpack which was filled with snacks that would be able to feed a person for two weeks.
The teenager gasped when she saw a tarantula crawl up a tree.
Engrossed in her surroundings, the naive number bumped into the person before her, muttering an apology.
It seemed that the group had stopped moving.
" Alright students! You have five minutes to explore the forest before you're to head back into the bus. Any person or group who finds the most interesting, historic or rare thing in this forest gets an Excursion Award! If you're not back before five minutes, just know that you signed the form which means that we are not responsible if something happens to you! "
The teenager listed as a supervisor explained about the flower.
One by one, the supervisors explained the different insects, flowers, animals and other things they encountered while the teenager took notes.
It seemed like only the 'nerds' were interested and payed attention to the explanation the supervisors gave.
" Ah! Get it off! Get if off!"
A girl screamed.
Summer Pearce.
She was your typical highschool queen bee who felt like she could have whatever she wanted.
The pitch of her voice caused the naive teenager to cringe.
Her palms itched to cover her ears but she didn't want to seem childish so she decided against it.
It seemed that a spider fell on her hair.
" Alright students! You have five minutes to explore the forest before you're to head back into the bus. If you're not back before then, just know that you signed the form which means that we are not responsible if something happens to you!"
Universe audibly gasped at the supervisors' comment.
'How Selfish' the teenager thought.
Students buzzed towards different directions of the forest and before she knew it, she was the only one left.
After contemplating whether or not to explore the forest, the teenager finally decided to move her feet.
Dodging fallen trees, logs and little dead rodents, the teenager finally came across a part of the forest that looked isolated.
What looked like a tunnel and a cave at thesame time and it was situated at the corner of that part of the forest.
Mosses grew at the front part of the tunnel which served as some sort of curtain to it.
The teenager nibbled on her lower lip as she approached the tunnel.
' What if she found treasures? Or fairies?'
The sixteen year old thought. That was the only thing keeping her going.
Walking into the tunnel, she turned on her torch as she went deeper.
The girl yelped as a mouse ran past her.
She did no good to her lower lip.
This was no doubt, the most dangerous thing she had ever done.
Moving deeper, she finally came to a conclusion that she was not going to find any fairies in there.
The teenager decided to head back, but realisation hit her that she didn't know where she came from.
" Uh-oh "
She muttered, doing a slow 360.
A naive girl with panic attacks, stuck in a dark tunnel.
This was by far, the dumbest thing she had ever done.
