Asphodel awoke early as the first rays of the sun penetrated her window. She stretched. Oh, it was good to be in a bed. She lay back and pulled the covers over her head. It was warm and comfortable. A knock came at the door. “Asphodel, we need to get going.” It was Basalt. With a groan, she threw her legs over the edge of the bed. “Coming.” She put on a clean white robe, folded her nightclothes and stashed them into her pack. She grimaced as she folded the robe she had worn for the last few days. Almost a sixday since she left Bluehaven. The robe had mud stains and smelled awful. The men had ordered breakfast.
