Amari’s POV A hazy glow began to manifest in the distance, with shades of gray overwhelming the image before me. Even the voices around me were muffled, rendering me unable to make out a sound. I struggled to focus my vision. The harder I tried, the worse my sight became. It seemed as if the effort was not worth the reward.
