Evil plans

Angelo's pov.  Tapping on Katherine's door I wait for her to answer.  "Come in" She speaks after a few moments. I know she's still reeling from what happened the other day but deep down I feel she needed it to come to terms quickly with the facts that I won't be allowing any death threats to any of my family not even from her. I open the door to only speck.  "Metting in fathers study in ten minutes. We will go over strategy I would like you to attend if you're not busy." I ask knowing she's not but if she really doesn't want to I won't force her.  "Of course." She says sweetly with a smile. I return it feeling somewhat relieved. "Where's Katie?" I question. One thing I always notice when I check up on Katherine is our daughter is never with her I always have to go find her nurses to spend time with her. "She's with the nurse." She says going over to her vanity. "Bring her too I'm sure mother and father would like to also see her for a moment. I have also arranged for us to all be painted. I want to remember how small our babies are and to bless this memory." I say while looking at her face through her mirror because her backs turned to me as she brushes her hair. "I will bring her." She says softly still not glancing to look at me. I sigh. "Good. I'll see my ladies in a few then." She nods and I close the door behind me. Leaving I walk on down to Annaroses room tapping. I could hear her humming down the hall shes so cute as a mother. The door opens for me and my beauty stands with her son in her arm smiling and so charming. I return her radiant smile because it's so contagious. Walking in I take my son from her hold. Loving how he fills close to my heart. Annarose closes the door behind us. "If you like I can take Kasious with me to the meeting with father in a few minutes while you have a few moments to prepare yourself," I tell her softly. Not moving too far from the door since I have to leave. "Oh! Yes, that sounds wonderful," she says lovingly to me. I smile brightly stepping closer to peck her lips brushing her delicate cheek. "I'll See you in a few then." She nods and I take one more glance at her before leaving.  My wives are complete opposites of one another. One a devoted mother always having her child the other not so much so. One completely loving of all things the other would kill for her own gain.  Going into my father's study I take a seat with my son as he makes cute little noises making my cheeks hurt with how hard I am smiling. "Let me hold my grandson," Father speaks coming around with the biggest smile I've seen from him in a long while. Handing over my son he goes back to his seat as my mother hovers and they both look adoringly at little Kasious. A few light taps come to the door so I stand and open it gesturing for Katherine to come in. As she takes a seat I grab my daughter from her. "We're just waiting on Annarose now I tell her." She nods. "Daddy's little princess loves her beauty sleep," I whisper lovingly to my little Katie kissing her little head as she sleeps with no distractions.  "Katherine, you should also love Katie she is of your blood your daughter." My mother's words make my eyes fly up to hers seeing she has a glare at Katherine. Does she mean Katherine doesn't love our daughter? She was so happy about our daughter when I came home when did this happen? I look to Katherine my brows furrowed in confusion. I feel my heartbeat uncontrollably how could she not love her own child? I have an abundance of love for both my children. We all are just staring waiting for her reply. She fidgets. "We all know as soon to be Queen it's not a daughter I need for my King its a son." She states unemotionally. "So you won't love our daughter? Is this why I never see her with you?" Before she can answer another tapping flows through the room. I give Katherine a stern glare then get up opening the door for Annarose gesturing for her to come in and take a seat. I return to my chair Annarose on my left Katherine on my right and my daughter in my left arm. Annarose leans over petting Katies head softly smiling. "Hi there. She's so precious." She says softly making me love her all the more for showing love to my daughter for she is not of her own making.  "Katherine may I hold her please." Annarose looks to Katherine with hopeful eyes. Katherine just shrugs and looks back to my father who holds my son. I gently pass Katie into Annaroses arm and watch as she smiles so lovingly at her and slightly bounces her. With her free hand, her knuckles graze Katie's baby cheeks.  Moving my gaze I realize everyone seems to be enraptured in her loving nature except of course Katherine who seems she would rather be anywhere else at the moment and looking at father's deck not happy or sad not even mad just there. "Let's begin. Most of our number are vampires only a few human kings we are allianced with will send us spare warriors. Looking at the map here, This is the council." He states putting a hand size ceramic castle where they will be. "We will separate in two groups Lavette and I will attack from the south of the council walls." He takes a hand-sized ceramic piece with warriors and places it behind the council's palace. "You and Annarose will attack them from the north their main gates where they will have most of their attention trained upon." He states placing another hand size ceramic piece on the map in the north of the council palace. "They are not prepared for our arrival we must get within the walls quickly before they are able to counter our attacks." He moves the ceramic pieces right on the castle. "Annarose look at this painting." He shows a painting of an animal I've never seen and only heard about when I was a child. "Do you know what this is? If not and I explain it to you could you shift into it?" He looks at her hopeful. She looks sternly at the painting eyes furrowed.  "I don't know. I usually have to picture it in my mind with their sound before I can shift." She says aloud focusing on the painting. "It's a Mammoth they don't exist any longer but they do have relatives that still walk the earth that sound the same move the same." "I don't know but I can try." She says with a shrug of a shoulder. "That's all we need. If not that I have an Elephant a relative of the mammoth you may be able to visit today to get a feel and sound it's a few hours away but if need be you and Angelo can travel there quickly and back so you can practice."Annarose nods a touch of sadness in her eyes I know she physically doesn't want to depart from her son yet. I rub her shoulder in comfort she looks down and stiffly smiles at Katie.  "Why can't someone else accompany her if she must travel to see this beast? Angelo's been gone for months and they've only been home four days I've had my husband one day in all these months because Annarose gave birth shortly after arrival. Then he will be gone more days for war against the council leaving them plenty of time with one another." Katherine states a tad angrily.  She's right I haven't treated them fairly in dividing my time equally but it hasn't been of my choice but of circumstances. My blood-calling bond with Annarose only gets angry with the thought of her making a trip to an unknown place without me being able to protect her. It makes my jaw tick. "I know your priorities right now are to have a son Katherine but your next birth will be a daughter as well." My mother states making me sigh for Katherine's dejectedness of the son she so badly wants to birth for me.  I can smell the tears that prick her eyes and shift to pet her short hair in comfort. I know no words can comfort such things for a soon-to-be Queen. Leaning over I place a lingering kiss on her temple and whisper in her ear even though every vampire in the room can hear me. "It will be fine I will love my daughters as well." She doesn't even look into my eyes as I sit back still petting her head. It doesn't matter what I say she's set on a son. I look at Annarose and she looks sad as well. These are things I can't do anything about as a husband with more than one wife.  "If you can shift into a Mammoth Annarose you will storm the gates taking them down effortlessly and with Angelos fire and my magic, we will destroy the whole palace taking all lives we leave none alive. Everyone that resides there is true to the council and will betray us in the future trust me." Father says sternly. "Are there women and children?" Annarose asks nervously. "No my dear only men are of the council as of now but that is soon to all change with our upcoming plans. So once in we quickly kill all who inhabit it." He comforts her only slightly she has no wish for ending lives. "How sure is the plan that we can quickly get in and destroy within hours with little to no casualties?" I question as a commander not scouting this myself has me uneasy. I usually scout knowing what I'm dealing with and the numbers and weapons were up against. I never once scouted the council they were untouchable like saints or priests in God's temple. Father did all this but I guess at one point in time he was also a commander of our very army he once stood in my shoes a prince who fought along the sides of his men in battle. Our walls still stand and our name. "Let's just say no one expects the council to ever be struck upon. There are sources though who could also see this coming and inform them wisely but they wouldn't be vampire. They'd be witches or warlocks even sorcerers. Our council has never been in favor of these kinds but do keep some witches at hand for blood. My hope is they would laugh at such a thing being spoken and ignore it out right completely." He states looking at the map sternly. "Who will handle these witches?" I know how powerful some can be. Enough to extinguish my fire to protect the walls of the council's palace. "That my son is the question you should have asked. It just so happens I can overtrump their spells and trickery and I've hired some back ups whom will assist as well for their own future gain." He gives me a look that says I already know of what he speaks of.  "What will be their gain?" Annarose questions very smartly in doing so. "That is only for us kings to know." Father quickly rejects the question shutting it down with no intention of her knowing his higher plan. I smirk to myself I expected nothing less from someone as ruthless as him. Instead of lying or comforting just let your position trump everything. He looks to me with a readable face like I should learn a few things from that notion alone when I become king of the throne myself.
