The rest of the week was spent training. Amos trained Roy while Nate and Claire were at school and collected Claire every second day. Roy trained her and Nate the rest of the days. Nate didn’t get a break while she trained with Amos. Roy kept him busy learning how to fight. Claire finally managed to change into a dragon on command, but couldn’t become a mouse no matter how hard she tried. It was like the creature was too far from who she was for her body to be comfortable changing into such a little creature. But she did learn how to create fireballs, tempted more than once to create them at school and throw them at the people who annoyed her.
