MORGAN
It was a day to celebrate, as the Kentucky Derby had arrived in town. Everyone had been waiting for this day to arrive, and it was time to have some fun. The day was beautiful as well, the sun shining down on us, giving us the blessing of a wonderful weather.
There was music, food and good company. I had to say, I’ve missed these moments in my town.
Madison, Dad and I sat close to the tracks to watch the horse race. It wouldn’t be long before it started, and we wanted to be right there to witness the victory of the horse we bet on.
Hopefully it won us big money.
As I looked around, I could see the women with colorful hats and dresses, and men with clothes that didn’t even match in my opinion. They all looked like rainbows searching for the pot of gold.
