Avery I lay in my bed as I slipped in and out of consciousness. I try to scream for help, but my voice is barely a whisper. Pain stabs me in every one of my joints, causing my body to twist into weird shapes as if I were a contortionist at a freak show. My tendons feel as if they are a rubber band about to snap. Also, my body feels as if it is on fire, as sweat begins to bead on my forehead and drip into my eyes, causing them to burn. I hear a loud crack, and I scream as I am plunged into darkness.
