Beautifully Imperfect

A New Beginning.

In a moving car,Isla Winslow is at the back seat with her mother;Lauren and her second brother Harlan,while her first brother;Ridley drives. Isla has her head on her brother's shoulder, asleep.

When they got to their destination, Harlan taps Isla gently for her to wake up. Waking up Isla was met with the beautiful view of a villa. "So what do you think?" Ridley asked her as he help her out of the car. "Nothing to blog about" Isla shrugged. "Oh come on Isla,saying I have good eyes won't hurt, would it?" Ridley said and Isla just ignored him."Alright,let's go in.You guys must be tired.Come on" Lauren said to her children.

The villa has a simple yet luxurious feel. The walls are a soft taupe, with dark walnut wood floors. The furniture is low-key, with brown leather sofas and plush rugs in deep shades of mocha. A sleek wooden dining table sits with simple leather chairs, and subtle bronze sculptures add small touches of elegance.

Large windows let in plenty of natural light, while light brown drapes add warmth. In the bedroom, a dark wood bed with neutral linens creates a calm atmosphere. The overall vibe is refined but relaxed, with luxury in the simplicity of the design.

"Simple and luxurious. Not bad bro,not bad at all" Harlan says. "I don't need to hear it from you" Ridley glanced at him disdainfully. "Well you're not gonna hear it from her,so you better accept mine and rest well" Harlan shot back. Ridley gave him a cold look.

A woman in her late forties came out of the kitchen. When she saw them,she had a look of surprise on her face at first,before a wide smile beamed on her face and she walked towards them while cleaning her wet hands with napkin. "You must be the Winslows. I wasn't expecting you till tomorrow evening,I'm Sarah and I'm the housekeeper,it's nice to see my new masters"

The Winslows had little smiles on their faces before Lauren spoke up,"Hello Sarah,it's nice seeing you too.And these are Ridley , Harlan and Isla,my children" They all gave Sarah a nod as greeting."And yes,we were initially suppose to arrive yesterday,but Isla needs to familiarize herself with the environment before she resumes school cause she's quite sensitive." "Oh I see, welcome. Why don't you all freshen up and once dinner is ready,I'll let you know" Sarah suggested. "Sounds good" They replied and had the servants take their luggages to their respective rooms.

When Isla got to her room,she wore a satisfying smile cause she loved it.She went to the window and took in the view around her. She has always been one that loves nature,and now her room's view shows the artificial lake and the garden. She was all smiles but when she looked up to the sky,her smile faded away gradually and her eyes shimmered with unshed tears. After about 10 minutes,she sighed and went to the bathroom.

Isla Winslow is a charming girl with rich brown hair that falls softly around her face, adding to her warm and approachable aura. Her ocean eyes sparkle with an endless depth, reflecting shades of blue and green that seem to change with the light, giving her a mysterious yet inviting look. She looks at herself in the mirror and smiled a little while saying "Come on Isla,come on." She kept repeating,till her door was knocked on and her brothers came in. She washed up quickly and got out with a grey, fluffy bathrobe. She had no sleepers on,so Harlan went to her shoe rack and got her a cute little slippers with a cat face on it whiles saying "Always put on your slippers dummy,the floor is cold"

She rolled her eyes,but still wore them. "Why are you guys here?" she asked. "We just wanted to make sure you're settling in well" Ridley said and she replied with a soft tone "Not like I have a choice" They were all quiet before Ridley said again "We'll go shopping tomorrow for your necessities. You need new clothes,party wears, bikinis....." He stopped talking when Isla kept staring at him blankly.

Harlan signed before getting up from the sofa he was sitting, before placing his hands on her shoulder while saying "You're going to high school and I think you'd want to try everything a new adult would try,I mean you're eighteen already. Make friends,explore,go to parties but without boys" Isla rolled her eyes and shrugged his hands off her shoulders. She walked to the window and said while looking out "Those things aren't my thing and you both know it. And besides,...I.....I still need time to process all that happened the past six months. Don't you think so?" She turned to them asking. "It's hard for you to process all that has happened,but don't think too much about it. Life goes on remember?" Ridley said, giving her a small smile which she returned. Just then,Aunt Sarah came to inform them dinner was ready. The boys left while Isla said she was gonna be there after dressing up.

Dinner was quiet as the family of four were tired from the trip,so after dinner,they all went to their respective rooms and called it a night. The next day, Ridley took Isla shopping as planned the previous day. She wasn't one to go shopping,so he picked literally everything for her and she just sat and ate snacks.The next day was school day.

It's finally school day,Isla woke up around 6am,cleaned up and ready. She wore her school uniform;a short wine Burberry skirt,a white short sleeve shirt and a wine blazer over the shirt. She had her hair in a messy bun.In one word,she was looking "cute". She came down and saw her brothers.She asked about their mother,then she was told she resumed to word. "Already?I thought she had a year break" She asked. Nope,she does not.Eat up I'm dropping you both at school" Ridley said. Harlan is a college student in his third year.

When they finished breakfast,they left the house,and dropped Isla first.When they got to the school gate,they both faced Isla and Harlan said "You've got this,don't be nervous" "Easier said than done,I'm literally shaking.What if I don't fit in?" She asked "Who wouldn't like someone as cute as you?Who wouldn't want to be friends with a bun?" Ridley said jokingly and she glared at him.

"Stop worrying about fitting in,you definitely will fit in.I mean you fitted into that blazers and it's a perfect sign that you belong here" Harlan says and he chuckles,followed by Ridley. "You guys keep bullying me" She said while pouting and they laughed. "Anyways,what we're trying to say is.......You'd do just great,you just need to loosen up and who knows,you might have your own squad.You just need to treat this a fresh start and be you" Ridley says and Harlan adds "Treat it as a new beginning. Don't think of anything else and just live the moment"

After they said those things,Isla smiled and hugged them while saying "What'd I do without you guys?I love you guys so much" After that,she gets off and waves them goodbye before going into the school. While she walked into the gate,she received so many looks,some of admiration,some of envy,some of confusion,and lots more but she received admiration looks the most.

Isla took a deep breath and muttered to herself,"A new beginning just began" and smiled lightly.
