IRIS’ POV
I was exhausted when we finally got back home. All I wanted to do was get in bed and sleep. We had gone out to dinner after spending the whole day at the aquarium. Fortunately, the girls were already asleep when we got to the house. Julian had to carry them from the car to their bedroom. I left him to tuck his girls in and I went to my room to get ready for bed.
I wanted to take a shower, but I was too exhausted. I changed out of my clothes and pulled on a tee shirt.
I was just about to slip into bed when I heard a knocking at the door. I knew it was Julian, my heart was beating fast just like it always did whenever he was close to me. It was always a battle trying to make sure that the effect he had on me was not obvious.
“Come in,” I said and then Julian opened the door
