In my life, I have never been as embarrassed as I have been at this moment. Iris’ mother turned away from us immediately and then she closed the door.
“I cannot believe that just happened,” Iris said, looking like she was about to fall to the ground and die. I was embarrassed, but I found the whole situation very funny.
“I could have sworn I locked the door,” I said as I moved away to pull my pants back up. I was wondering what it would be like to face my mother-in-law after what had just happened. The poor woman looked like she had a mini-stroke after what she witnessed.
