Julian's POV
The sun streamed through the windows as I entered the kitchen to find Iris already awake, sipping her coffee. She looked peaceful but I could see the lingering tension in her eyes. Determined to make things right I decided to continue building on the progress we had made.
"Good morning, Iris" I greeted kissing her cheek.
"Good morning" she replied managing a small smile. "You're up early."
"I couldn't sleep," I admitted. "Too many thoughts racing through my mind."
She nodded understanding. "Same here."
I took a deep breath. "Iris, how about we do something different today? Just you and me."
Her eyes lit up with curiosity. "What do you have in mind?"
"You'll see," I said with a wink. "But I promise it will be fun."
