-Journee's POV-
“Mm-mmm” My hands wrapped around something firm, but still soft in a sense. And warm. I wanted to be as close to the familiar scent for as long as possible. Then, I felt something wrap around my waist and pull me in.
Oh! That felt nice, comfortable. My face moved in closer, and it was then that I felt the warmth of skin. Skin that I knew wasn’t my daughter’s.
When I finally opened my eyes, I saw him staring at me. “Hi,” he said.
I quickly backed away from him, eyes wide. “I-I am so sorry! I didn’t-I-”
“I should be apologizing,” he said. “When I realized that I had wrapped my arms around you, I woke up but…I didn’t want to wake you because-”
“Wait, where-where’s Jasmine?! Where is she-” I started to look over the bed but realized that the pillows were still intact.
