-Jafaar's POV- The fifth time I asked Journee if she was sure about this, the snow started to fall. "Maybe you should be asking yourself if you're comfortable with me coming," she snapped. My blood ran cold. I wasn’t oblivious to the irritation in her voice, but the fact that she seemed to assume that I didn’t want her with me when I was the first one who offered certainly threw me for a loop. "What-what the bloody hell is that supposed to mean?" "I'm not speaking in tongues, Mr. Hayes," she said. "You keep asking me that. I already told you I was okay staying at the apartment for Thanksgiving – me and Jasmine by ourselves." "That's ludicrous!" I exclaimed. "What kind of man would I be to leave you alone? It would be rude of me-" "Not to take you," she finished, mimicking my accent.
