– The Little Wife’s Long Vacation After several weeks of the headquarters slowly turning into a “home” thanks to Hana’s touch, Rei made a surprising decision. “We’re going out of town. A long vacation.” The men who were in the middle of a meeting froze in disbelief. “Boss… vacation? Again?” “Who’s going to guard the headquarters?” Rei’s eyes swept over them coldly. “You. If anything happens… solve it without waiting for me.” No one dared argue. Deep down, they all knew: their boss was willing to close everything for one thing—his wife. --- Hana nearly jumped with joy when she heard the news. She threw her arms around Rei, her face glowing like a child’s. “My dear husband! We’re going on vacation again? This time longer, right? I want to walk around, shop, eat a lot—do everything with you!” Rei brushed her hair gently, a faint smile tugging at his lips. “If that’s what you want, then we’ll do it.” --- They left in a modest car for the big city. Hana wore a light-blue dress with a wide-brimmed hat, her small hand never once letting go of Rei’s. At the night market, Hana dashed toward the stalls. “My dear husband! Look! This doll is so cute!” Rei glanced at the rack for a second, then bought the entire shelf. The vendor nearly fainted in shock. “Rei-san! I only wanted one!” Hana protested, swatting his arm lightly. Rei lowered his gaze, calm as ever. “If you like it, then all of it should be yours.” Hana puffed her cheeks, then hugged him tightly. “Honestly… if I ever get angry, I’m the only one allowed to hit you!” Couples passing by could only smile enviously at how sweet they were. --- At the restaurant, Hana sat prettily, scanning the menu. “My dear husband, can I order everything?” Rei gave a short nod. “Order everything.” The waiter nearly dropped his tray, but Hana burst out laughing. “My dear husband, you spoil me too much.” --- Those days were filled with simple moments: Hana eating ice cream, her face a mess, and Rei wiping it clean with a tissue. Hana buying matching hats, then forcing Rei to wear one in public. Hana stopping suddenly in the middle of a crowded street just to hug Rei from the side. “My dear husband, never stay far from me, okay?” Rei looked at her calmly before answering, “I’ll never leave.” --- That night, in their hotel room overlooking the glittering city, Hana leaned on Rei’s chest as they sat on the balcony. “If only our lives could always be like this—without enemies, without danger…” she murmured softly. Rei took her hand, holding it tightly. “As long as you’re with me, nothing else matters. Even if the whole world turns against me, I’ll still protect you.” Hana looked up at him, smiling warmly. “That’s a promise, right? Then I’ll always be your clingy little wife.” Rei only nodded, pulling her head gently back onto his chest. That long vacation became another sweet memory—a time where Hana could freely be her spoiled self, and Rei allowed his cold walls to melt only for his wife. – The Little Wife’s New Rules A mafia headquarters was usually filled with the sound of heavy boots and clattering weapons. But that morning, the atmosphere was different—because Hana was standing in front of a giant whiteboard with colorful markers. “Attention, everyone!” Hana clapped her hands. “Starting today, this headquarters isn’t just a workplace. This is our home! So… I’ve made some new rules!” The men exchanged pale looks. “New… rules?” “Don’t we already have rules from the boss?” Rei sat on the sofa, silent, watching his wife with a calm gaze. Hana scribbled enthusiastically on the board: Rules of the Little Wife’s House: 1. Everyone must have breakfast together—at least bread and milk. 2. No shouting at night (people need to sleep). 3. Hands must be washed before meals. 4. No eating instant noodles every day. 5. Rooms must be tidy—or I’ll come for inspection! The men fell silent, looking like soldiers facing a death sentence. “B-Boss…” one whispered to Rei. “Do we really have to follow… these rules?” Rei’s eyes turned sharp. “You dare defy her?” “N-no, Boss!” they all shouted in unison. Hana smiled in satisfaction. “Good! From now on, this place will be a clean, healthy, and loving home!” --- The days that followed became… unusual. One burly man was caught eating instant noodles late at night. Hana swooped in and confiscated it immediately. “You promised not to eat noodles every day! Come on, I’ll make you vegetable soup instead.” The hulking man bowed his head in shame, like a child caught stealing candy. Another time, Hana suddenly barged into a soldier’s room for inspection. “Oh no! This bedsheet hasn’t been changed for a week! Fold it up—come on, I’ll teach you how.” The men who were once terrifying now looked like elementary school kids doing chores. --- The c****x came when Hana declared bedtime hours. “From now on, lights out at 10 p.m.! Anyone who shouts or plays games too loudly will get whacked with a pillow!” The entire room went dead silent. Some even turned their lights off early out of sheer fear of the Little Wife. Every time Rei saw his hardened men turned into “house kids” because of Hana, he only sighed. But in his heart, he knew: only his wife could do this. --- That night, Hana proudly told him everything while resting in his arms. “My dear husband, now your headquarters is a warm home. They all listen to me!” Rei lowered his head and kissed her forehead. “Of course. Because only you can command me… and them.” Hana giggled, then lightly smacked his chest. “Sweet talker. But I like it.” And just like that, the once cold and harsh mafia base became a home—filled with small rules that made everyone feel like they finally had a family. – The Little Wife’s First Mission That night, the headquarters buzzed with activity again. Rei was preparing to head out, wearing his signature black suit. The men stood in formation, awaiting orders. From the sofa, Hana eyed him suspiciously. “My dear husband, you’re leaving again at night? So secretive, hm?” Rei turned, his face cold. “It’s work. Stay here.” Hana puffed her cheeks and jumped up. “No! I’m coming with you!” The men panicked instantly. “Eh, Madam—” “You can’t, it’s dangerous—” But before they could stop her, Hana had already run to Rei’s side and clutched his hand tightly. “I’m your wife, so wherever you go, I go. If you’re angry… too bad. I’m still coming.” Rei stared into her eyes for a long time before finally sighing. “Fine. But don’t ever let go of my hand.” “Promise!” Hana grinned widely, triumphant. --- That night’s mission was simple: oversee an illegal transaction at the harbor warehouse. Rei’s men spread out quickly, taking their positions. But Hana’s presence made everything… different. As they crept down a narrow alley, Hana suddenly whispered loudly: “My dear husband, look! A cat! It’s so cute!” The men nearly lost their minds. “Sshhh, Madam! Please!” Rei exhaled slowly, his expression unreadable. But when he saw his wife crouched down to pet the stray cat, a sliver of his icy demeanor melted. “Come quickly,” he muttered, pulling Hana back into his arms. Hana giggled. “Hehe, sorry~” --- At the warehouse, the deal was tense. The enemy drew their weapons, the air thick with danger. Rei’s men prepared to strike. But before they could move… Hana stepped out from behind a pillar and clapped her hands. “Excuse me! If you’re going to fight, don’t do it in such a dirty place! You’ll get stomachaches if you eat with filthy hands!” Everyone froze. Even the enemy, weapons raised, stared dumbfounded. Rei’s men almost fainted. “MADAM! Why are you out here!?” The enemy burst out laughing. “Hahaha! So the great boss brings a little girl? Is this a joke?” Rei stepped forward, his eyes colder than steel. “You dare laugh at my wife?” The next second, chaos erupted. Rei’s men charged, the enemy scattered. Through the storm of violence, Hana clung to Rei’s arm, refusing to let go. When it was over and the enemies lay tied, Hana clapped happily. “Wow! My dear husband, you’re amazing! You beat them all!” Rei looked at her quietly, then stroked her head. “You nearly gave me a heart attack tonight. Don’t ever do that again.” Hana winced, then hugged him tightly. “But I’m glad I saw you in action. I want to understand your world too. And I want to protect you as well.” Rei fell silent, his heart stirred. Only Hana could make him open up even in a blood-soaked world. – The Little Wife Becomes Gossip The morning after the harbor mission, the headquarters was busy with reports. But more than paperwork, it was buzzing with gossip. “Hey, did you see last night? Madam just stepped out of nowhere, and the enemies froze.” “Hahaha, yeah! I thought we were doomed. But they panicked instead.” “And the best part—Boss Rei! His glare used to freeze us all. But now? The moment Madam calls him ‘my dear husband’… he obeys instantly!” The break room was filled with laughter. Hana had become everyone’s favorite topic. --- In the office, Rei was signing documents when Hana walked in with a cup of tea. “My dear husband, you must be tired. Here, drink this~” Rei accepted it calmly. “Thank you.” Men peeking from the doorway nearly screamed. “He said thank you! He actually said thank you! Since when does Boss Rei know that word!?” “And his tone… soft! The world must be ending!” Hana placed her hands on her hips, grinning. “If all the gossip is true, I guess I really am the center of attention now.” Rei looked up at her, deadpan. “You married me. Of course all eyes are on you.” Hana laughed. “But they’re more shocked that the cold boss actually listens to me.” Rei set down his pen, rose, and wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her onto his lap. “Let them talk. I only listen to one person. My wife.” Hana’s face turned crimson. “H-husband! People are around—” Men outside the door clutched their chests. “I heard that! He really said it! Our boss—the one we u sed to call ‘the living iceberg’…” “He’s melting. Melting because of Madam!” All day long, the headquarters buzzed with whispers, laughter, and envy. And one conclusion spread among the men: “As long as Madam is here, this place isn’t just safe—it’s warm.”
