CHAPTER 9: ONLY A GAME?

CHAPTER 9: ONLY A GAME? 

*Alison's pnt of view*

I open my eyes. Alek is lying next to me, looking at me.

- It about time that you wake up- he tells me. 

- Wow, you're in a bad mood, huh?

- I'm not in a bad mood - he says grumpy. 

Come on, put on your swimsuit. Going to the pool will be good for you.

I take the black bikini from the closet and go to the bathroom. When I go out wearing it, Alek is also wearing his blue swimsuit. I grab one of the towels of the room, Alek grabs the other, and we leave.

When we got to the pool we each put our towels on a lounger, side by side and Alek says to me:

- I hope for your sake that you don't try anything, or you're going to regret it. 

Ha, as if I could think of escaping. I roll my eyes and get closer to him, his face is a few inches from mine, I stand on tiptoe and whisper:

- Is it a threat, Mr. Dmitriev?

He gets even closer to me, if possible, and says in my ear:

- No, it's just a warning, bae.

He walks away from me to sit on the lounger. I just stand there. I don't know what to do. He looks at me with his characteristic innocent smile. As if he hadn't just left me standing here without knowing what to answer him, thanks to his seductive voice. I lie on the lounger. I can't believe I lost all these past days in that room, when I could have been here. The sun is facing me and after a while I feel the sweat fall from my body. I turn to Alek's lounger, he looks at me.

- Do you feel like bathing? - he question

- A lot - I answer

- So let's go

Alek gets up from the lounge and holds out his hand, I take it and get up. As soon as I reach the edge of the pool I jump and start swimming to the other side. The pool is amazing, it's huge. The left side is deeper and as you move forward the water level decreases. Its shape is oval, and on one side comes a water path that reaches a bridge. Across the bridge is another piece of oval pool. I go from the left side, the deepest, to the right, swimming, and I get out of the pool. When I look to the side where Alek was, I don't see him. I look towards the pool, in case he jumped while I was swimming, but I don't see him anywhere. Suddenly someone grabs me from behind my waist and lifts me up into the air. I try to get away but I can't. I see on the person's arm the unmistakable tattoo, Alek's eagle. He starts running towards the edge of the pool and throws himself with me in his arms. We sink together, I enclosed my arms in his neck and he keeps his hands on my waist. When we float up, I wrap my legs around his waist. He stands up and I stay hugging him, we are looking into each other's eyes. I put a hand up the back of his neck and I stroke his hair. Alek begins to bring his face closer to mine. Our faces are an inch apart. I begin to feel the heart in my ears, pounding.

Suddenly, in a single movement Alek pulls me away from his body and throws me up. I fall with a deaf noise in the water. I don't know what had just happened. Was he going to kiss me? Why has he turned me away from him like this? When I get out of the water he is looking at me, with a smile on his face, as if nothing had happened. Was he playing with me? Yes, that must be. He didn't want to kiss me, he just wanted me to think he would do it. And then move away as he has done and laugh at me. He will regret that.

The afternoon continues without incidents, we continue bathing and when we get tired we go back to the lounges.

Alek goes to get some drinks, he doesn't take his eyes off me for a second while he goes to the bar and waits for his turn. I lie on the lounger and close my eyes. When I hear Alek's footsteps I open them again. He offers me my drink and I take it. Since the pool incident he has been very serious. I think about giving him a taste of his own medicine. Carefully I put the drink under the lounge. I get up and Alek rises a little on his shoulders, he was already a little incorporated and this movement makes him stay sit. He looks at me strangely. He has no idea what I'm about to do. I place one knee next to his hip and move the other knee to his other side, so I stay sit astride him. Alek's breathing quickens.

- What are you doing? - he asks me.

- You seem tense - I say stroking his shoulders and smiling. As if doing this was the most normal thing in the world for both of us.

He seems nervous but I ignore him. I run my hands over his chest and I feel his heart pounding. It seems to be making a race with mine, because although on the outside I seem serene on the inside I'm a bundle of nerves. I've never done anything like this before. Despite everything I get closer to him, our faces are a few inches. I run my hands from his chest to the back of his neck and he puts his hands in the lower part of my back. I feel something hard in his crotch. I try not to show my surprised face. I have never provoked that reaction in a boy. Or at least, as far as I know, because I haven't been like this with any of them either. I smile at him and pulled back a little. He seems to wake up, grabs me by the waist and pushes me away from him. I get up and return to my lounge. Alek stands looking at me. It was funny.

When the pool close we go up to the room, get ready and go down to dinner.

- Would you like to go partying tomorrow?

Alek catches me off guard and I almost choke with a piece of meat. I start to cough like crazy and he looks at me with a worried face.

- What? - I answer still coughing

- Do you want us to go to a disco or something?

- What is this sudden change in mood for?

- Well, now that you have the hair like that I don't think anyone will recognize you and the truth is that even I have gotten bored of spending the whole days in that room. Also, if you say that you are a princess kidn*pped by a mafia capo, they will think that you are crazy or that you have had too many drinks. 

- Are you always one step forward?

- That's why I'm a lawyer. 

- Yes, well, and future boss of a mafia

- Don't remind me that. Well what do you think of the idea?

- It seems perfect.

- Great.

We spent the rest of the dinner talking and when we finished we returned to the room and sleep.

Sorry! I know I said the chapter would probably be out on Sunday but I made it longer and I update today. I hope you like this chapter . I think next one will be shorter and that it will be out at the end of the week.
