Mom rubbed the pad of her thumb over my badge, reading the writings aloud. "Admiral Adrian Lloyd.", She smiled up at me proudly. She stepped back just as Damon arrived with my sailor's cap, she picked it up and I slowly lowered my head. She adjusted the cap over my head, patting my right shoulder firmly. "Show them who's the King and why.", She said and I nodded curtly.
She turned to Damon and his spine straightened. "My son will take care of his people, you take care of him.", She smiled up at him and I shook my head slightly at her sensitive nature. Mothers.
"Don't worry, Your Highness. He'll handle them, and I'll handle his safety.", His voice had a tone of promise to it that made Mom sigh in relief.
