The air stilled as the moving car came to halt. Winds whispered in hushed voices, malice and animosity lurking around like angels of death. The door to slick black Koenigsegg Regera swiftly opened and a foot stepped out, followed by a muscular hand that gripped the edge of door and a dominant body completely came out of the car. His silver eyes hidden under the frames of black shades, others unaware of the dangerous glint with which they gleamed.
If Adrian is a man who completely relies on logical thinking, Leo believes in action before and talk later. And when he is in control of the Alpha body, people knew better than to poke the angry and brooding wolf.
"He's in the cell no 3.", Beta Damon notified him.
Leo's calloused fingers came up, gripping the hinges of shades and removing them off. His silver eyes sparkled, canines glimmered as his lips separated in a malicious grin that was as shallow as his evil mind. When it comes to his enemies, Lord give him patience to not rip them apart.
"Well then what are we waiting for? Take me to him.", He tipped his head and Damon nodded, immediately heading to the front and opening the gates of central prison, where the criminals who had committed heinous crimes are punished. More than werewolves, this prison serves as hell to humans who either trespasses the international boundary, is a terrorist or tries to disturb the normal civilization of Werewolves. There are some werewolves criminals too, but they are less in numbers compared to the humans.
Humans has the tendency to poke their nose in others business and therefore Leo had always taken it upon himself to teach them a lesson. Fair to say, they don't wake up for next lecture.
He doesn't use his wolf power. With one death glare the person in front of him pisses, so it has never come to use the animalistic powers. What snaps his control are terrorists. And what sends him off is that the human government officials never take the responsibility. So he is left to take out his anger on the pathetic humans who dared to harm his people.
It was two months ago when a group of five terrorists trespassed the weak side of boundary in Alpine-Himalayan belt, mixing into the crowd with their made up scent to come of as one of them and then set off a primary school in a bomb blast. The horrifying blast swallowed seventy children and seven senior werewolves. To say Leo was pissed when he heard about it would be an understatement. If not for Adrian's control, he would have gone on a killing spree of humans fearlessly.
They all were caught in a small town of Turkey. The bastards were hiding and celebrating their win when they were ruthlessly dragged out of the dungeon and fled back to middle Asia, there bodies hung upside down on the chopper. A trailer of the hell they'll be put into once under the axe of King.
Four of them had already died, giving up to the torture while their head was still grasping on the last bit of his oxygen. Well, Leo will have fun snatching it away in the most horrible way.
Leo pushed his hands inside the trousers pocket, they were twitching in excitement. Waiting to be bathed in the ugly red blood of that pathetic human. The rich brown shirt clinged to his muscular frame, buttons running open till the middle of his chest. His skin a delicious shade of tan. The customized sterling silver dog tag, engraved with his last name dangled sexily around his neck, grazing and caressing his hard pecs. He looked man in control.
Damon opened the cell after signalling all the guards to empty the hallway.
Leo had to crouch his tall frame a little to enter the dark and ugly cell. He flickered the lights on and spotlight fell on the beaten up man who was already drowned in his injuries. The dim bulb dangled, saved by the string of wire with which it was held from the ceiling. Leo removed his hands from pockets, silver rings twinkling under the mild light.
He pushed the chair out, before sitting down and leaning on the table. His arms formed an upside down V, chin resting on the entwined knuckles as he looked at the man before him. The human's head was down as he swayed in and out from slumber. The blood dry and forming a dirty crust on his swelled and beaten up face. His eyes had ugly dark bruises, lips cut and nose broken.
"Wake him up.", Leo instructed. Damon nodded and emptied the jar of water on human's head. He gasped, jerking up to breath. His chest heaving up and down. Eyes dazed and unfixed. He tried to use his hands to wipe the wetness away, but huffed realising that he was cuffed to the handrest.
"Look up, human.", Leo commanded. The man simply spat, defying the order.
Pissed, Leo stood up. With one hard push, the rectangle table was no more between them but crushed against the pale wall of cell. Grabbing the collars of human, he hoisted him up. The legs of chair left floor along with him. Leo snarled, and smirked when he saw how the man flinched. His grip loosened and the chair complied with gravity, falling down and tumbling back on the floor.
"Uncuff him.", Leo said.
Damon nodded before squatting down to remove the cuff. With left over strength, the human stood up on his feet and scurried back. "Using your animal power on me? Not fair, King.", The man spite out.
"Satisfying your thirst of revenge by killing children? Not fair, terrorist.", Leo snapped back.
"They were animals. You all are animals! You don't get to live equal with us! You all belong in wild. Caged and locked up. That is your place. This world is for humans! Not for animals!", He screamed.
"Are the things ready?", Leo asked, trying to push his burning rage down. Damon nodded. "Get them.", He ordered and watched as his beta walked out only to re-enter with a wooden box in his hands. Leo unveiled it and grinned in satisfaction. It had all that he wanted.
A toe nail clipper, nail cutter, cutter tool, bearing balls, wax candle and a cigarette lighter.
He sat down along with the box in his hands. Uncaring of the dirty floor that may stain his expensive clothes. "Keep him down.", He instructed as he searched through the tools, wanting to find his preferred one. "Found it.", As he looked up, Damon was using half of his strength to keep the human still.
"Because of the blast, seventy kids died. The toxin chemicals mixed with their blood, and they died with the combined effects of trauma and burns. Their bodies were burned beyond recognition. The families of deceased couldn't recognize their kid, because the scent was washed away by the chemicals. Parents lost their kids, some packs lost their future Alpha and Beta. Some werewolves lost their mates.", Leo said calmly.
"You animals deserve it. And much more.", The human spat out grimly.
"No.", Leo snapped the toe nail cutter in front of his eyes. The tool then moved towards human's shivering toes. He captured one in the cutter. "No one deserves such cruelty except you.", He gritted before ripping apart the complete nail off his skin. A scream of agony and pain echoed around the building, other criminals sweating and trembling in fear.
Red blood pooled around, covering the dark dirty floor as other nails joined the company of first one. The human continued to scream and cry. His pleadings trying to reach his God.
"Whether it's Moon Goddess or your God, neither will try to save you today from me.", Leo growled as the human's finger nails were ripped off mercilessly. "Keep his fingers straight.", He commanded and Damon grabbed the shaking hands, trying to keep the trembling fingers straight.
The pissed off Alpha picked up wax candle, grinning in satisfaction at the quivering form of human before him. He tilted the wax candle on human's shivering fingers, and flared up the lighter. Smirking as the hot drops poured down on the bloodied flesh, wrenching out screams and yells out of the man. With the half melted wax still in his hold, he grabbed one bearing ball and dropped it on his toe nails. Adding on to the heart wrecking pain.
"Leave him.", Leo stood up. Damon let the mess of man go as he stepped back. Gulping down the bile as he watched the man flailing and struggling like a fish out of pond.
"Hang him upside down in the clearing and keep whiplashing until his body gives out.", Leo instructed before he looked up at the CCTV camera in the corner of cell. "Publish the video online with age restriction. Let the world know how cruel we are with terrorists.", He ordered. "Did you take out all needed information from him?"
"It is nothing mentionable, except the chemicals they mixed up to scent themselves one among us. Marcel; one of them revealed the secret behind it.", Damon answered.
"Great. I want everything on my table until tomorrow evening. I know that they worked independently and had no big boss, but it's better to be guarded. Is the boundary of Alpine belt strengthened?"
"A month ago, sir. Alpha Adrian told us to do that quickly."
"I must have been sleeping then.", Leo waved his hand dismissively. He stole a lazy glance at his expensive Nautilus Patek Philippe rose gold brown dial watch. "It's already evening.", He mumbled to himself.
"Luna will arrive at Eight if you're wondering.", Damon answered.
A low growl escaped Leo's throat, his hands curling up in fists. "She's not your Luna! She'll never be!", He grunted in disgust.
"I apologise for my slip up, Alpha Leo.", Damon ducked his head down.
Leo spared one more glance at the bloodied and battered knocked out body near his feet before blowing a kick in his ribs and storming out. The man groaned in pain. Contrary to his tough exterior, Damon casted a pitiful glance at the human on floor before following his Alpha out.
Is it over? Adrian asked innocently as he pushed himself up from the depths of mind. Kevin followed his suite.
'Yeah, scaredy cat. It's over.' Leo shot back.
Hush, you violent wolf! I don't want to witness when you castrate human body. Adrian snapped.
For real, Adrian. Kevin added his opinion.
Leo rolled his eyes as he stepped out of the gates, his car still waiting for him on the previous spot. Striding over to it, he gestured his driver to open the trunk. Ripping off the blood soaked shirt he grabbed the neatly folded black one and wore it.
When he came back to the pack house, the wolves training in the field stopped and bowed in respect in front of him. Leo nodded in response, running upstairs and directly diving under the warm shower after shedding off his clothes. After he was clean and groomed, Adrian took over the control. Smiling at his handsome reflection.
The dark night suddenly cleared as the moon shone and stars twinkled. They were eerily similar to Adrian's current mood. Bright and cheerful. He can't wait to breath in his mate's scent.
'Alright Romeo, let's go.' Leo taunted. Internally desperate himself to meet her.
Adrian contemplated whether to apply the cologne or not but then he decided otherwise. His natural scent will attract her more. He grinned, his blood pumping and roaring in his ears. Damn he can't wait to meet her again.
'Don't forget she's here so we can break the bond.' Leo said and Adrian blinked. His face falling at the slap of truth.
Goddess, Leo! Will you just shut up! Kevin chastised.
'I didn't know honesty is not appreciated in this body. I apologise.' He shot back sarcastically.
Don't stress, Adrian. Just live in the moment. She'll be here any moment. Kevin said, trying to cheer his best friend.
"You're right. I should not focus on bad things.", Adrian forced a smile. Grabbing the set of keys of his Mercedes, he headed out. Leo wanted to take one of their flashy and expensive car, but Adrian knew it may overwhelm her. And he didn't want to show her his superiority, whether it was in wealth or relationship.
'You're comical. There's no relationship!' Leo laughed.
Stop reading my thoughts, you creep! Adrian gritted out.
Leo's tail wagged, he was happy. But the reason behind his happiness pissed him off. He didn't want to be happy because of her arrival. He's definitely one complicated specie.
The chain of five cars pulled down on smooth concrete road, racing towards the airport. Damon was in a car behind his and the rest cars were filled with his Delta warriors and other guards. As they reached, the empty airport made Adrian sigh in relief. He had banned all transport for the day because of her arrival. Her human scent may trigger Werewolves.
"She's waiting in the lounge, King Adrian.", The man in blue suit said.
Adrian left no time to launch himself in the said direction. Soon enough, sweet sandalwood scent embraced him like a hurricane and Adrian grinned. He pushed door open of a room; if he had applied more strength, the door might have ripped apart from its hinges.
Aurora stood up with a startle, turning on her heels in surprise. Her ginger red curls bounced around, framing her oval face like a halo. Her bright silver eyes found equally shining hazel ones and a smile broke out on her face. She watched as her mate came rushing in, a tune of excitement and happiness ringing around in the otherwise quite atmosphere as she was pulled in a safe and lovable embrace. She laughed breathily, craning her neck to side to make more room as he nuzzled his face in her crook. Her arms locked around his waist, inhaling deep to breath in his musky scent.
He whined, clutching on her more tightly. Afraid that she might disappear like smoke in air if his hold loosened. Aurora rubbed his back soothingly, assuring him with her presence. He is so emotionally open in front of her that it never fails to amaze her.
"I missed you so f*****g much.", He breathed out desperately. There was no lie in it. Neither it was dramatic. The past three weeks were indeed hell for him. Every second was a prick to his already soft heart.
"I missed you too.", She murmured, her voice muffled against his shoulder.
He pulled apart, his hands coming up to cup her cheeks as his eyes ran over her beautiful face. His fingers shivered, afraid that his fragile mate may break if he handles her any harshly. She smiled and he sighed in content, drawing her back in his arms.
"Alpha!", Damon barged in and Adrian immediately pushed Aurora behind him before letting out a ferocious growl, his proprietary arm covering her frame safe. "I'm sorry. I'm really very sorry Alpha. But we've to leave. I don't know how but some local people suspected that there's a human here and are demanding to be let in. We've to take her from another exit and through the forest.", He said and Adrian groaned, rubbing his temples in frustration.
"In wolf form?", Adrian asked and Damon hesitantly nodded.
"f**k! Let's go!", He grabbed his mate's hand, dragging her to the door. "Bring her stuff along.", He ordered his Beta before walking out and heading towards the back exit.
"How are we gonna go?", Aurora asked and he glanced back at her. Her innocent face tugging a string at his erratic heart.
"Don't worry. I'll keep you safe.", He said as his deltas and beta soon followed.
They found a good clearing to shift.
"Aurora, I've to shift in my wolf form. Leo-"
"No!", Aurora cried. "Not him. What if he kills me. He hates me, Adrian!", She said as she stepped back, horrified and scared. She never wants to meet him again. And definitely not in his wolf form where he can just grab her throat in his strong jaw and rip her apart. The thought alone made her shudder.
"He won't kill you, Aurora.", Adrian said calmly.
'Debatable.' Leo chuckled earning a shut up from his human form.
"Please no, Adrian. He scares me. Not him.", Aurora was stubborn.
Adrian sighed.
His guards and Deltas watched in awe as their King who can snap one's neck if they defied him was conflicted and giving up in front of his mate. "Kevin!"
Leo growled possessively. How dare this stupid human side suggested something so dumb. No way in hell will he let her touch any other wolf except his own.
"My other wolf Kevin. He's nice. You'll be fine in his caring."
"You've another wolf? Why? How is that possible?", Aurora asked bluntly.
"That's not important right now. Just tell me, are you okay with this suggestion?"
He looked impatient so she nodded.
Ignoring Leo's warnings, death threats and possessive growls, Adrian headed behind a bark of tree and stripped off his current clothes.
Kevin, will you be okay? Adrian asked, knowing that he hasn't shifted in while. It might be painful at some extent.
I'm an Alpha, Adrian. Don't worry about me. Leo on the other side is not happy about this. Kevin replied.
He brought this upon himself. Adrian grumbled. He could feel Leo's pain of rejection coming off in waves but he can't do anything. Right now their top priority is Aurora's safety.
And right their, a handsome King shifted into a huge and gorgeous pure black wolf.
Aurora gasped as she noticed a bushy tail curling up proudly behind the tree. Her eyes widened in awe when the pair of crystal blue eyes met hers. She was starstruck.
Kevin slowly stalked closer but stopped when she flinched back. He sat down like a Sphinx, tongue flopping out as his tail wagged.
The real mated wolf on the other hand, sulked in his own corner. Again..... He was rejected....
