"We're not humans so let's not create a world like them. I don't care about GDP, as long as no one in my monarchy sleeps empty stomach. I don't care how much we export to rest of the world and what profit it brings. What I care about is the world we live in should be healthy and prosperous. Rich with natural habitat. The pollution level in Asian countries is rising, mostly in Northeastern part. What are you gonna do about it?", I looked at the country representatives, their foreheads glistening with sweat under my scrutinizing gaze.

Although we're half animals, we've more humanity than the humans. And I plan to lead my Kingdom in the same direction for coming future. Never in my reign will I tolerate extinction of natural resources. We're a part of this earth. And we should learn how to coexist, instead of claiming ourselves as superior. Because nature finds extreme ways to reclaim it's space when we endanger it. And I don't want that. I believe in the divinity above me and don't have the guts to question it's power.

"We'll see to the matter immediately, Sir.", Mr. Lee said and I nodded. I've never liked to be addressed as your majesty or my Lord, so Sir is what everyone calls me.

"Well, you better do.", I said to the five representatives. "Because I'll not hesitate if I've to put the entire northeast Asia in lockdown if next reports doesn't satisfy me.", I said and they nodded curtly. I think my words have marked their strong presence in their brain and if not, I have many other ways to do that.

"What about Eastern Europe? Is situation under control there after the earthquake?", I asked, my gaze fixed on Mr. Novak.

"It is, Sir. I've already submitted the current progress report. Many civilians came out to help the victims. They provided a great support.", He smiled and I nodded appreciatevely.

"Great. See you all next month then.", I smiled standing up, closing the buttons of my blazer as I nodded at everyone in the room before walking out, my secretary following me immediately.

"What about the testing?", I asked as I entered in my office after he held door open for me. He stepped inside after me and I looked up at him after sitting down on my chair, waiting for him to answer my question.

"We tested all the nuclear weapons on no mans land. As you had instructed. The report will be submitted by tomorrow. The chief of security force will personally come to meet you.", He said and I nodded, my fingers playing with the paper weight on table.

I was never keen on these missiles and nuclear weapon thing. But humans are pretty aggressive sometimes and even though we've an upper hand for being physically more stronger than them, I don't want some deadly chemicals and explosions taking up my peoples life. I may sound hypocrite after giving the speech about nature and pollution but this is needed. You can't fight evil with good. The saying is now rustic and old. If you want to finish bad, you have to be bad too. Only for that course.

"How's the training going?", I asked reclining back on chair.

"Perfect. My only concern is one thing.", I frowned and nodded at him as an encouragement to continue. "The number of rogues is increasing lately.", He added.

"What is the size of their pack right now?", I asked.

I had issued this law for rogues to form their own pack instead of wandering around with no aim. Their Alpha, Victor is a good man. He was kicked out of his own pack for standing against the Alpha of his pack because he wanted the position. I gave him that and he has proved himself potentially. He is one of the best Alpha and is right now leading one of the powerful pack in Asia. But that doesn't mean that he can't be a threat. The obvious that he's still a rouge don't change. Some rogues are evil and drive on the lust for revenge. And I don't want any chaos within ourselves when we still have many outside enemies to take down.

"64 thousand.", I gasped soundlessly. That's a huge number. I need to have a meeting with Victor.

"Fix my meeting with Alpha Victor.", I said and he nodded.

The reason I'm concerned about him is because he's greedy. He wanted to become the country representative but because of being a rouge, I couldn't do it. I trust him, but the way their pack is growing I don't trust the werewolves in it. And so, I need to remind him how ‘Good friends’ we are.

"Anything else?", I asked, glancing at my wrist watch to see that it was already eight in evening. Dad has called me early today, he says he has some guests he wanted me to meet.

"That's all. Your car is ready.", He said and I nodded, getting up and grabbing my cellphone. He took my briefcase and opened door for me. My two trusted guards followed me right after. They are my deltas actually. And my secretary is none other than my Beta, Damon.

I'm the Alpha of Gold Corral and King of Werewolves. This leadership was passed on to us during fifteenth century. People say that I'm reincarnation of Alpha Nicholas who died before he could claim the throne because his mate rejected him, and therefore my mother is very much protective about me. Not that I believe the rumors. I mean, I do look like him. But I've never felt any connection whenever I see his portrait. They say he was a great leader and had a huge potential to become one of the greatest King, but fate played cruel and he was mated with a human. My pack fears the same about me. They got more concerned when I didn't find my mate after my eighteenth birthday.

Mate.

My wolf grunts in disgust at the sound of it. He was never interested in this mating thing. I've no idea why he is like that when I'm so excited to meet my mate. She'll be my other half. The reason of my existence. She'll be someone I could be weak in front of. She'll be someone I could lean on after a tiring day. She'll be the source of my strength and I can't wait to see her. To drink in her intoxicating smell and lose myself in her vicinity. I'll ladden her with every happiness in this world. Will bring the universe down to her feet. She'll rule me and I'll happily let her.

'Enough!' Leo grumbled and I rolled my eyes. There he goes again.

I slid inside my car after Damon opened door for me. "Good job today. See you at the dinner.", I said and he nodded before closing the door. I gestured my driver to pull out.

Let him, Leo. What's your problem? My other wolf, Kevin said with a sigh.

'I'm disgusted. Did you hear his thoughts? Damn! I feel like puking? Who thinks so cheesy!?' Leo made a gagging sound.

Shut up you retard! I groaned at him and he scoffed.

I can't help it. Even the thought of my mate brings that unexplainable electricity inside me. I want to meet her so badly. But I can't just go down hunting countries and search every corner to find her. My responsibilities don't let me have that luxury. But I'm sure she knows me. Everyone knows me. May be she haven't realised that I'm her mate. Some werewolves are slow. May be she needs to smell my scent to know that I'm her mate.

Or may be she doesn't exist!, Leo snorted and I took a deep breath to calm down.

Oh, Leo. Let the man dream! Don't act so rude! Kevin said and I agreed with him. Even though Leo is my wolf, he rarely talks any sense. I wish Kevin was my wolf. My birth wolf. The one that Moon Goddess had herself given me. And not this 24*7 grumbling rodent.

'I heard that! But unlucky you! I'm the one you've to keep up with for rest of your life! And unlucky me too. I've received a Romeo as my human side.' He scowled. Does he ever talk like a civilised person!? The answer is no!

Oh shut up you asshole! I snapped, agitated with his constant blabbering.

Guys calm down. Adrian, we've reached so let's focus on the guests we've to meet. Kevin said and I hummed in approval.

One of my delta, Carson opened door for me and I thanked him before stepping out. I actually don't need security, but my pack is completely protective of me. Although I'm the Alpha, they treat me as a child. Mostly the elders of my pack. And my mother? She's a completely different story. She can't go to sleep at nights if I don't come home. She's like this since I grew up looking like Alpha Nicholas. I don't believe in that absurdity though. I know my mate will be a werewolf. Moon Goddess is not that cruel.

'Oh believe me she is.' Leo muttered.

I ignored his comment and entered the pack house. I don't like staying in country house. It's just too big for my liking. I love being close with my people.

Mom came rushing close as soon as she caught the sight of me. She has a huge smile on her face. One that says that all her problems will be no more from this very minute. It's actually creepy.

"Why are you smiling, Mom?", I asked her. She dismisses my question with a flick of her fingers before grabbing my arm and dragging me to the living room.

I've a bad feeling. Kevin said. Even I feel the same. Something is not right.

"He is here, Honey.", Dad was seated with one couple, their dominant forms occupying the lengthy couches. The couple was Alpha and Luna. The aura surrounding them screams of royalty and power. But I don't know them personally.

"Come here, son."

The couple stood up as a form of respect and I gestured them to sit back down as I sat beside my father.

"I don't think he needs any introduction.", Dad said smugly. "Son, this is Mr. Martin and she is his wife.", Just as I say my hello to them, my sister along with some girl walks our way. "And that is his daughter. Brittany Martin.", He added. Brittany stopped right in front of me and I had to get up as she forwarded her hand to shake.

"Nice meeting you.", I said with a smile.

"I'm blessed to see you in real.", She chuckled.

I get shy easily so I pulled out my hand and sat back down. I never had a contact with female population except some closed ones, so being in the close proximity with them often sends me off guard. I'm not very good at keeping casual conversation. And most girls flirt with me which actually is initiated by a casual conversation. And because I'm waiting for my mate, I don't feel the need to make any close relationship with them.

But this meeting is definitely no professional. And the way Bianca is eyeing me. I don't feel good.

'Her name is Brittany, you dumbass. And she's actually hot. I don't understand why you're so keen on preserving your virginity. If I was in control, I would have ravished her in a minute!' Leo gave his unwanted input.

Gross, Leo! Don't forget I too live alongside you. And I don't want to see that giraffe naked! Kevin snorted and I had to cover my laugh with a cough. I looked back at her only to find her already staring at me. She actually resembles a giraffe. She's taller than me. And I'm 6.3. So I think you get the gist.

'I'm stuck with two celibates!' Leo cried out in exasperation.

"I've some important work to do, dad.", I said getting up as I noticed Damon coming inside with a huge flower bouquet in his grip. I need an escape from here.

"I know you're always busy, son. But let's first talk about this. It is important.", I tried to keep my temper in control as dad pointed towards Brittany while speaking of important matter.

"I'm sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Martin. Brittany, I'm really sorry. But I'm waiting for my mate and if needed, I'll keep waiting until my end. I've no problem if I find her when I'm taking my last breath. So please don't have any hopes. And don't leave without dinner please.", I said before waving at Damon to follow as I strode towards my personal study, ignoring the defeaning silence I created before my departure.

"Your father looked livid.", He said as I sat down.

"He needs to stop meddling with my personal life.", I said as I turned my personal computer on. "Tell me. What are you here for?"

"The invitation has arrived.", He placed the huge bouquet on my table. I plucked the golden invitation out from the hoard of beautiful colorful flowers before flipping it open.

"Invitation to Annual Function huh.", I mumbled to myself. "Same event every year.", I sighed.

"But this is your first time attending it as the King.", I could audibly hear his smile as he said that. I nodded.

'I don't feel good'. Leo whispered. I rolled my eyes. His tantrums never stop.

'Shut up, Leo'. I said back and he quietened down instantly.

And one more thing that I forgot to add in first part, Rogues are the wolves who are kicked out of their pack. The reason may be anything. But when a wolf is removed from his/her pack, their wolf's eye color changes from their original to red. It makes them easy to identify.
