The investigation quickly collapsed when multiple students and staff came forward with glowing testimonials about Miguel. Security footage also proved Villarosa's claims were baseless. In fact, the footage showed Villarosa himself bullying staff members multiple times.
Dean Reyes presented everything during the board meeting. Professor Villarosa was publicly reprimanded and stripped of his position as department head. The university issued a formal apology to Miguel.
The sweetest moment came during the announcement of the new Bridging Program. Miguel Escobar was officially appointed as one of the instructors – starting as Teacher Assistant, with full teacher status promised after six months of excellent performance.
When the announcement was made in the auditorium, the students who knew him as "Mr. Me" cheered the loudest. Some even brought brooms as funny gifts, turning the moment lighthearted and heartwarming.
Miguel stood on stage, no longer in his janitor uniform but in a simple barong tagalog Rosa helped him pick. His eyes were misty as he spoke:
"I spent years cleaning floors so others could walk on clean paths to their dreams. Now, I want to help clean the path to knowledge for those who were told their dreams were too big."
Professor Villarosa, now demoted, sat at the back, forced to watch the man he once mocked rise.
Miguel's revenge was never loud or cruel. It was simply succeeding with grace – the most beautiful and successful revenge of all.
